For my oldest son's birthday, 5 of us stated with hosts, Susan and Walt. The morning of our arrival, I called asking if they could accommodate an additional person. They were very gracious and prepared the family-size room for my youngest son. Susan and Walt also went out of their way to make us feel like family. They are full of good information about their property and the town itself. The rooms were extremely comfortable and nicely appointed, the property was idyllic, the patio was the perfect place for us to watch the sun go down and open a bottle of bubbly, and I can't even begin to tell you how wonderful Susan's home-made breakfast was. We hope to return some time and would encourage anyone to book a stay with them.

Room Tip: All rooms except for the lowest level family-sized room have wonderful field and mountain views.

We only got to stay one night at Fairlea but it was a very nice stay. Walt greeted us when we arrived and showed us the common areas, and where we would have breakfast the next morning. Then showed us our room and explained how various things worked and/or were located. We had selected one of their smaller rooms and it was just fine, plenty of room for our things in the closet & dresser. The bathroom had two sinks w/ a nice shelf above for me to put all my hair and make up stuff which makes things so much easier. The grounds are beautiful - we said hello to little donkeys and some sheep, and lots of birds visit their grounds. Lots of places to sit outside and enjoy the quiet. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Don't think of staying any place else when you are in Washington. The views from the farm are beautiful and you get to commune with the sheep and donkeys.
Our room was lovely with a wonderful bathroom.
Susan and Walt were so nice to talk to and their hospitality was only surpassed by Susan's breakfast. Everything was delicious, homemade and so plentiful. Also, don't miss out on yummy lemonade in the afternoon.
For us it was a perfect stay.

Lovely, charming B&B set in the picturesque and rolling hills of Virginia near the historic town of Little Washington. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed with all necessary amenities. The hosts are wonderful with generous hospitality. The breakfast is absolutely delicious and plentiful with home made breads. It's hard to leave, but reassuring it's available for future repeat visits. Close by to a variety of vineyards, hiking trails, horseback riding, and so much more. Great overall value and close by for DC area escape!

First impression did not disappoint. The home is beautifully set in spectacular scenery. Very tranquil and relaxing. Susan greeted us and was so happy to share her beautiful home and make us comfortable. The home was appointed with lovely antiques. Our room was delightful and the shower was fabulous! Susan prepared a delicious breakfast and I would recommend a stay here for a great experience.
