We weren't expecting much but it was really fun and interesting. It looked like it might rain so we stopped in and looked through the piano store and then visited the museum. For $10 each, an interesting afternoon. Things I didn't even know existed were just fascinating. Truly enjoyed it.

This museum was a delightful surprise. There is a diverse collection of antique, international and unusual musical insruments, mementos of a wide range of Virginia musicians, instruments reflecting the development of the modern piano, and a Clenet auto that once belonged to Wayne Newton. It’s self guided with a handheld device containing pertinent info.

My husband and I were on williams burg this past Aug we went past the music museum which we did not know about, been in Williamsburg three or four times and did not see before, it is a very nice place. Semi small but a couple of hours to view. Very interesting info on artists from Virginia did not know they were from the area also Beatles, and other artist's old music boxes up to pianos .modern pianos in the store the museum is in.
The gentleman that runs it Is very knowledgeable. If you have a couple of hours to spare great place to visit ,6316 Richmond Road Williamsburg.

We visited this museum two years in a row while visiting Williamsburg. The various vintage music machines are delightful, entertaining us last week as much as they must have entertained Americans a century ago. Loved this collection!

My wife and I had a great time. I'm an organ lover, so really enjoyed the opportunity to see their reed and pipe organ up close. A number of beautiful music boxes and unique devices that you won't be able to see or hear anywhere else. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and friendly.
