The hotel was clean and well kept. The staff was friendly and helpful. They answered all my questions with out any complaints. We enjoyed having a convenient restaurant on the premises. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Seattle!

They have been remodeling so we have been understanding but hotel is dirty, blow dryer doesn't work well, toilet almost overflows when you use it and the bathroom door doesn't close. Remodel disappointing

Perhaps we were in a different building than those who gave this a stellar review; however, our room, while clean, was certainly not updated. This hotel, it turns out, used to be the Bellevue Inn and was purchased by the same people that own either the Hilton next door (very nice) or the Sheraton across the street. In any case, to us, it didn't look like they had updated anything (maybe the lobby and hallways). Old noisy, air conditioner, walls that needed painting, curtains that needed replaced -- and I wish I would have taken a photo of the hole in the bedspread. We did pay a little extra for the breakfast buffet which was nice.

There is construction across the street from the expansion of the light rail and we were told (whether this is true or not) that the Red Lion is schedule for demolition in order to make way for parking or something to do with the rail line so maybe this is why there doesn't seem to be a rush to update/upgrade. (Note: Red Lion and Hilton already lease out a good deal of their parking lots to the auto dealerships nearby). And speaking of parking ... the Red Lion has a HUGE, half-full parking lot and yet we were charged $9.00/night for parking which I felt was ridiculous. Plus, the friendly person checking us in told us she would only charge us $9.00 total for both nights and then the person checking us out refused to honor that agreement.

You can walk to downtown Bellevue and see the sights or have their shuttle drop you off there (nice perk). However, if we were ever in this area again, I don't think we would be staying at the Red Lion.

Thanks for the feedback. There is some information here that is not completely accurate, so I will try to address.. The Red Lion Bellevue is a 3 star property. While it is an older property, we strive to keep it clean and well appointed for our guests. The Sheraton and Hilton are also both lovely 4 star hotels and are more currently updated- which is reflected in the higher rates they charge for rooms.

All of our public spaces- hallways, lobby, and event rooms were updated in early 2018 with new carpet, wall covering, and paint. We have also done a lot of updates in our guest rooms as well, including all new window treatments & upgraded bedding. We do not have bedspreads or old curtains in any of our rooms. In addition, we updated our wi fi, which is now 5 times faster than before and free for all of our guests.

We do have a large parking lot. It may seem to you like it is half-full, and perhaps it was for the limited time you visited, but between our guest rooms and our catering space, the parking lot is often quite full. Due to our very close location to downtown Bellevue where parking is at a premium, we have found if we do not charge for parking, non-guests "squat' in our lot and then there is not adequate parking for our guests. We do offer a lot of special rates and packages that include parking. I am sorry that you were promised a night's free parking and it was not honored at check out. If you contact the hotel's accounting office, we would be happy to fix that.

Bellevue is a beautiful and this hotel is located near it all. The staff is professional and the room was lovely. It is farther from Seattle than I would like, however, Bellevue has it's own museums and beautiful trees.
