“Extremely helpful staff but hotel a bit noisy.”
Reviewed 30 December 2011

We stayed one night and have stayed here in the past. We wanted to stay at either of the casino hotels but they were booked. Well, one was and the other only had smoking rooms. As soon as we checked in and went to our assigned room we had a feeling the fellow guests were going to be noisy as they had rooms beside each other across the hall and were out in the hall chatting. We asked for, and got another room on another floor without any problem. However, later that evening the guests across the hall and with two rooms adjacent were quite noisy and constantly going from room to room. This finally did subside after 11 pm but it was annoying. No fault of the staff, just inconsiderate guests. The room with two beds is fine except as with our other stays, for some unknown reason the light on the smoke detector acts a strobe light and is constantly going in circles around the room. This can be a bit disconcerting. We did have trouble with the internet and it seems it is common when trying to hook up an IPad, but the helpful desk clerk, Hannah helped me with it. The breakfast was not as good as you find at other hotels similar to this one.

We booked our stay as a last minute for an overnight stay. We mentioned it was our wedding anniversary and were upgraded to a suite. The hotel desk representative was friendly. Our room was really nice with 2 TV's, microwave and fridge. We had a nice view and slept well. The breakfast area is a bit small but we took our foot to our room to enjoy a leisurely meal. With free parking, free WIFI and a complimentary breakfast this is a good place to stay.

We stayed at the Fairfield Inn to use two free nights and to start Christmas shopping. The rooms are great, with a seperate sitting area. The location is close to the I5 making it easily accesible. The front desk staff were very friendly and accomodating.

On the negative side the free breakfast is terrible, the food is reheatable and the waffle batter tasteless. There are also not close to enough tables. Go to Jack-in-the-Box for a inexpensive breakfast.

I realize that most hotels over chlorinate their pools and hot tubs but I could not sit in the tub as I burned my eyes.

The shopping in Burlington is average at best, head north to Bellingham or further south,

Despite the food and chlorine I would go back. A free breakfast and chlorine is hardly a good reason not to go back. The accessibiliy, roms and staff make it worthwhile.

Room Tip: They do have whirlpool tub suites for a little more!

Thank you so much for your review. We have since resolved our issue with the pool's chlorine levels and we are in excellent shape with the pool and spa area now.

We hope to see you again!

Stayed here one night on our travels,
nice modern and clean motel.
room internet was very good and the tv was modern with a very clear picture.
The breakfast selection was very good.
Close to The Cascade Mall and other outlet stores.
only downside was that in our room the road noise from the intersate was quite noticeable.

The Fairfield is well located for shopping in Burlington or as part of a vacation in the northern Cascades. It's a well-run hotel with cheerful staff. David, the Night Manager, was extremely helpful to us on restaurants and shopping. A very minor quibble - I think the breakfast area needs some small trays to help guests carry breakfast to seating. Our stay was Sept 2011.

Room Tip: A highway runs nearby and early-morning traffic could bother some guests in nearest rooms.

Stayed here Sept. 6th,2011. They staff was very friendly and allowed us to check in early am. Stayed here 1 night while seeing the North Cascades National Park. The exterior was well maintained & the lobby & breakfast area were perfect. The room was clean. Bathroom was large. Plenty of tv stations. Internet was fast, but not enough to watch videos without pauses. The bed was what I expected from Marriott. A medium firmness. Overall, a good experience. I recommend it highly.
