Charming place- comfortable. A little worn around the edges -perhaps end of the season wear and tear. Family destination, so quite noisy in general. not ideal for the access challenged. Despite numerous calls to the property prior to arrival, room request were still a challenge. Appreciated the front desk staff who work to sort it out.
Great place to go for a vacation. They are always making improvements to the facilities. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend staying at Campbells. The food is always great and the beach is always clean.
We came to Campbell's "resort" a few years ago and stayed in building 1.
Great location, on the ground floor, at the end of the lake.
We could see the lake for miles and the sunset.
The room was acceptable, not very good, but the location and view compensated for that.
We came again twice in 2023 and once we stayed in building 2 and once in building 4.
The rooms were much much smaller and last remodeled a long time ago.
The rooms looked more like a motel room.
For the price of $350-$400 a night Campbell's Resort offers very little.
I recommend you go elsewhere.
This place is great! We were here for Winterfest, and it was full. The staff were really nice and friendly. The rooms were exactly what we were looking for. We will come here again for Winterfest, and possibly the summer!
The setting was spectacular, the upkeep of the garden and building just fine, the pool and hot tub very pleasant. My "Casita" was almost perfect for me (but needed a grab bar in the shower -- high priority for anyone dependent on a walker). I'm 93 years old. Because the building is not connected to a city sewage system, there are restrictions. Residents may not have read the instructions or forgotten them, so I suggest they be posted precisely where they apply. The gathering spots are comfortable and attractive. A barrier around the pool, although it might not be as attractive, might save a child's life some day. W e intend to return!
