Description: Sorrento's Ristorante & Tsillan Cellar's owner, Dr. Bob Jankelson, admits that the food of Italy captured him before he developed his interest in wine. Dozens of teaching trips to Italy instilled an appreciation of Italian cuisine paired with food friendly wine shared with friends and family. The same meticulous attention to detail evident in Tsillan Cellars stunning Italian architecture and grounds, transfers to a kitchen that brings world class dining to the shores of Lake Chelan. While Sorrento Ristorante is the perfect setting for a romantic evening of dining with that special person it is also the perfect venue to entertain business colleagues, friends, or have a warm family friendly dining experience. In winter, the inviting Italian fireplace and panoramic views of Lake Chelan and snow clad mountains blend with award winning food and wine to leave indelible memories. Outstanding ambiance, food, wine and service- four reasons Sorrento's Ristorante at Tsillan Cellars was named OpenTable Top 100 Scenic Restaurants in America in 2014.

Glad we went there because it is a very nice place to go. The wines are over the top fantastic, especially the Reds, but the food was just ok. Nothing to really complain about and it may just be us but you will enjoy it no matter!! Will try again!!

Sorrento's offers a beautiful view of the river and the bottle of blended red varietals was excellent. We both ordered the seared duck breast and that is where the disappointment set in. The young lady who greeted us could not have been more cheerful but the waiter assigned to our table took our order and later presented the bill but was otherwise absent. They were busy and we were on the terrace which was fully occupied. The real problem with with the main course. The duck was modestly "seared" meaning that most of the fat layer escaped the heat. The meat was good but dominated by everything else on the plate that shouted GARLIC to the exclusion of any other flavor. Neither of us ate much.

This is a superb Italian restaurant that is also part of an excellent winery (Tsillan-pronounced "chillin"-Cellars). The food is outstanding, the view is stunning, the staff is attentive and professional. Do give it a try!

First, we'll be back some time. The food was excellent, the service great and the view from our table was fantastic. The manager of the winery and restaurant came by as we were finishing just to see how things went. He was visiting every table and my wife saw him a few minutes later helping serve. Hands on management at its finest. We had reservations for 5 pm when the restaurant opened, but that didn't appear to be necessary. Now, if you were arriving at 6:30, you'd better have had reservations as the place was filling up rapidly. Don't know what it would be like during the summer.

Three of us on a guys' trip had dinner at Sorrento's. Our waitress Rosalyn was thoroughly delightful, and the meal was outstanding. Even the bread was phenomenal. Between us we had two salads (Caesar, gorgonzola) and the tomato basil bisque. I thought the Caesar was one of the best I've had, and my friends also loved the other two. I had the duck, again one of the best I've had, and both of my friends had the rack of lamb. It was a full rack, 7 ribs, very meaty. I tasted it - fabulous - and my friend who has traveled a lot and eaten a lot of lamb said it was the best he had ever had. We had a bottle of Sangiovese which was also very good. The only low point was the tiramisu, a bit dry. I'm told the view is beautiful, but unfortunately we couldn't see much of anything because of the smoke from the forest fires.
