Golfed at Highlander last weekend for the first time in 2 years. Same friendly, helpful, staff, and course conditions were outstanding. The changes in the back 9 are a mixed bag. Fourteen has been shortened into a par 3 from the quirky par 4. The old green is a home site, complete with new home! Sixteen is a risk-reward downhill shot over water - well-laid out and a ball.
Seventeen is another risk-reward hole over a canyon that is reachable from the tee. Getting to the green requires a backtrack and a hike. Not player-friendly.
Eighteen is now a par-three with a funky green. Putting these two holes together at the end of a round is a bit much.
