Highly recommended, our meal was perfect. The salmon was moist, buttery, flakey, perfect. The duck and Gruyere Mac cheese was so sinfully delicious. Even the Caesar salad was better than most. Service excellent. Great wine list. Great night out.

Ate at New Leaf on our recent visit to Orcas with my brother and his wife. For the most part it was terrific, great service, a really tasty wine by the glass (Buty), and three out of four of our dinners were excellent--the chicken was pretty much blown away). The desserts are seriously lacking... blueberry crisp was too sour and had very little crisp on it (and a bonus button was served in it, too which was weird--and no offer to comp ANYTHING which was lame!), and the upside-down apple thing (why serve apples in August, anyway???) was mushy and nothing special at all. It's really high-end, too, so be warned...our bill was close to $400. for 4 of us, and my brother and husband don't even drink! But, we had a nice evening, and if anyone can tell me where to get a hold of a bottle of that 2012 Buty Sauv blend, I'd appreciate it!

Lovely cafe with splendid view of Eastsound Bay. We were pleasantly surprised to be seated the first night when we showed up without reservations (although we did call ahead) and they kept us a window seat as promised when we did make a reservation. Very nice, friendly staff and Chef came out to say hello personally. Order the clams and mussels, scallops, halibut, salmon and blueberry crumble! If I must be fat, make it worthwhile!

We had a party of eight and the staff made us feel like royalty. Excellent drinks, followed promptly with amazing meals. All eight of us had great entrees. Very comfortable restaurant with great views of the bay.

Great place to start the day with breakfast just off the ferry from Friday Harbor. We needed to stop and plan our hiking routes, and this was the perfect place. Food and coffee are great; staff very friendly. Busy, so you may have to wait, but worth it.
