My husband and I spent a blissful weekend here for my birthday. Jamee and Dal are lovely people. The property is beautiful and created for those who love nature and want PEACE and beauty in their environs. It's about a 10 minute scenic drive to downtown Gig Harbor. If you are a bird lover you will enjoy this place immensely. We saw owls, a stunning pileated woodpecker sipping from one of the beautiful water features on the property, and dozens of other species of small birds in the numerous birdhouses throughout the property. No Cabbages has beautiful grounds and gardens with numerous areas to hang out, sip some wine if you choose, and chill. The water is about an 8 minute walk down the street. We went at high tide so the beach was gone but it was still gorgeous to sit on a log and dangle your feet in the water. We brought our little dog and he got along well with Max, the new dog of the house. Another couple staying there had their dog as well, so it was a great time for the pooches as well as the humans. We will absolutely be BACK...this is a very special space.

Room Tip: We stayed in the back bedroom with the high wooden bed...very comfortable and there is a sink in the room which was very convenient.

No Cabbages B&B is a perfect place to relax. The setting is beautiful forest with a view of Sunrise Beach peeking through the tall trees. Jamee and her husband have created a warm ,peaceful little escape. Our suite had a wall of windows overlooking the forest. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious, especially the homemade popovers!

Room Tip: You have a choice of rooms from an in-house suite to a more rustic treehouse.

The vibrant and awe-inspiring surroundings have attracted perfect human partners in Jamee and Dal who, through mindful attention, maintain and openly share an inclusive and supportive space offering guests the opportunity to unwind from the noise of life and simply…

“Breathe like a fallen leaf and think of nothing. Just breathe and let your heart and mind be carried, however briefly, by the spirit you can't quite see.” ― Mark Nepo,

From the initial approach down their driveway, one is immersed in breath taking wonder and beauty; from a forest of ancestor trees alive with a palpable silence expressing themselves in the wind and harmonizing with the music of the wildlife offering primordial connection, to the expressive and creative structures and abundant artwork of many forms patiently awaiting one’s notice to fill hearts with inspiration and delight.

Perhaps most stirring of all, was the kind attending offered every morning by Jamee as she carefully prepared a beautiful setting and delicious breakfast with a heartfelt measure of support and humor as she connected with us sharing insights from her fascinating life story. We were absolutely captivated by her kindness, authenticity and infectious humor; providing us an uplifting start to each of our days.

Jamee is a true gem within this supportive oasis and we feel very fortunate to have been afforded an opportunity to be under their care for 6 days.

We greatly look forward to our next “Dose of Wonder and Grace” at No Cabbages!

I came down from Alaska for an overnight retreat with my friend from Seattle. As soon as I saw the pictures she sent me of this place I knew it was the right one. It was so peaceful; just the place I needed for a break from a hectic job. We spent the second day at the Olympus Spa (Korean ladies' spa) in nearby Tacoma, which was also a great treat.

Thanks Jamee and Dell.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Dream Room and it was a little musty smelling (again ... rainforest?) but we opened the window a bit and it was fine.

No Cabbages B & B is tucked away off Sunrise Beach Rd on the other side of the harbor- it is quiet, secluded and charming. We stayed in the suite above the garage and if has a comfortable living area, a comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower. The property has several outdoor seating areas and is very woodsy in an inviting way. Breakfast wasn't until 9:00 so we walked down the road to the beach, with great views across the harbor and a doe and fawn who didn't seem too concerned by our presence. Breakfast was substantial- coffee, juice, yougurt and fruit, spinach omelette and popovers served with whipped cream and jam. A fun find.
