An attraction? It's just a bridge - albeit an rusting orange one. It's no big deal because you have to cross it to reach Shelter Bay, the local reservation and the bright lights of Anacortes.

It's just a bridge. There's no need to go out of your way. In fact you might pass over it if you are headed to Anacortes. Nice bridge, but not spectacular. If you see if from downtown, that will do.

The Rainbow Bridge is totally worth visiting. The view on the river is magnificent.
There's a little park by the river with parking, a playground and little grills. There are shade trees and the town can be viewed from there as well. All you need to do is follow the road, it leads right into downtown, which is so quaint.

From any angle, this bridge in an icon that frames so many beautiful views of this quaint town. Built in 1957, this is called deck arch bridge and it connects Fidalgo Island and La Conner, crossing the Swinomish Channel.
