This is a DONT MISS for families with young children. What a wonderful experience sitting around the campfire hearing a presentation on reindeer details, posing with Santa in his sleigh, petting the reindeer, looking at the pigs in the barn and having hot cider or cocoa. Everyone was so friendly and they made sure everyone was included in the photos. And Santa, well he looked as close to the real thing as possible.

I'm sure I'm going to catch flak for this, but so be it. What's the point of having a tourist destination if it's never open or available? I started planning my trip to Leavenworth well in advance, weeks even. The website for this farm is woefully inadequate on information. Call the number, even worse. Walking around the shops, asking locals about it just got bits and pieces of info. And this is the number one destination for tourists in Leavenworth? Please. I've attached photos of screenshots of the locations "availability". Please note this was on December 6, a full 3 weeks before the next available"tour". I drove over there and took a pic if the site. Thursday afternoon, closed. No answers. Some might say too many people stresses the animals. Please again. As much of an animal lover I am, reindeer being watched grazing doesn't stress them. If you plan on booking this, a year in advance might work. Or it might not. Either way, good luck trying to get in.

Sir, first let me respond to "never open or available". We are open 7 days a week. Yes, we ask our customers to book their farm tour online. We limit each tour group to 30 people to maintain a hands-on and personal experience on the farm. It's not too hard to understand that a reindeer farm during the holidays sells out of its available tickets. We see over 500 guests per day and we are a family-run farm. We do not take "days off" during the holidays. The Thursday afternoon that you stopped by (December 7) we had been open all morning and were sold out of all 7 farm tours that were offered that day. It is not our fault that you did not make plans ahead of time. The thousands of customers we welcome each week on the farm have had no problem using our website or our award-winning online booking system (FareHarbor). We have no record of you trying to call, as every message we receive is responded to within 24 hours. You also had the ability to email us (plainly listed on our website). Many customers inquire via email and we often find a way to fit them into our schedule if at all possible. You also seem to be an expert on proper Reindeer care, however, you got it wrong that all people do is "watch them graze". Our farm tour is highly interactive. In the future, please think twice before posting a review full of so many false-hoods. Our family is passionate about our farm and we go above and beyond to give our customers an unforgettable experience. You didn't even give us the chance to do that for you. Oh well, can't please everyone!

The information they give you about their reindeer is great, very educational. The animals were wonderful. Our family had a good time. The only thing we wish they had was a covered area to wait in while your appointment time comes up if your early and a few more kids toys to play on. But if your in the area its worth making an appointment.

The reindeer farm is pretty much what is says that it is, although there are a few other weird and wonderful beasts wandering around. It is run by a Norwegian named Hans Christian Andersen (no, I am not making that up) and his family. I'd almost refer to it as a winter themed petting zoo than a reindeer farm, but it is certainly fun to interact with the reindeer herd. My kids were perhaps a little bit old for it (teenagers), but it is still a nice enough experience, and Hans does a great job of keeping everyone engaged whilst everyone drinks their hot chocolate and eats their snacks.
