This hotel was a great place to stay. We were only there one night but plan to go back and stay longer. Very reasonable price and very attentive staff. It was once a bordello and is done in the Victorian style. All the rooms are tastefully done. We were on the 3rd floor and had a separate bath but we were the only ones with a key. Just a nice place to relax after visiting the great town of Port Townsend.

Room Tip: We had a great view from the 3rd floor and really didn't hear street noise.

This is a wonderful hotel. We booked 3 nights here and loved every minute. The hotel was once a bordello and is decorated with Victorian furnishings. It is like stepping back in time with modern amenities. There isn't an elevator and we were on the 3rd floor, but there are places to "rest" as you climb the stairs. The rooms are named for the "ladies" that once lived here. We were in Miss Kitty's room and it was spectacular. The room was decorated just as we expected and the bathroom was huge with one of the best showers ever. The view from the corner room was fun to sit and people watch from. Great view of the water and the ferries coming and going. We absolutely loved our stay there. We had parking in the back and we were able to walk almost everywhere from the hotel. We also liked the chance to peek into the other rooms that were open for viewing. This was a real treat for us to be able to stay here. We hated to leave.

Room Tip: We chose Miss Kitty's room because of the fantastic views.

We stayed here over a couple of days July 4th weekend and it was great. The rooms are very unique. It was like going back in time. It was clean and comfortable as well. We stayed in room #8 which was Miss Simone's room. Very charming, and the front desk was very nice. They even held our room for us while we made last minute travel arrangements into town. It is very centrally located and I have already booked my next stay here in September for the Port Townsend Film Festival.

We visited the Palace Hotel right in the heart of the Historic District. Just walk out the Palace front door to many fine Port Townsend establishments.

The three floors of 19 rooms are uniquely laid out with Victorian and modern amenities. The top floor suites with kitchenettes are handy. Just an interesting place. No elevator but staff will help with luggage. A friendly staff.

The Palace Hotel occupies the two upper floors of the Captain Timbals Building, It has no elevator so one must walk and carry luggage up 30 steps or so. It has uniquely decorated rooms, magnificent views, a fascinating history and pets and families are welcome. It's just two blocks from the ferry on Water Street and a short distance to the historic downtown.
