We stopped in for a very late lunch on a weekday. We happened to be the only people in the restaurant for a time. We sat at the sushi bar. The waitress was very attentive. All of our choices were nicely presented and tasty. The steamed gyoza were delish and the dipping sauce was especially tasty. We shared four rolls and enjoyed them all. We would go back if we're in spokane.

I went to the sushi Sakai when it was in the valley and had the Udon noodles and on another visit had the sampler. The broth was delicious and the noodles where great nice and thick without being dry or hard to chew. My guests with me had the terryaki and the Korean sampler and none of us saw any problems. Tempura was nice and big veggies cut in a diagonal. I would love to go back often but I don't like to drive downtown and that is the only open location now.

Heard good things so decided to try it out for dinner before a show downtown. We were impressed with the food and the location as it was less than a 5-minute walk to both the Fox/Bing theaters. As for the sushi, it was delicious and moderately priced. Also, serving Kirin Ichiban on tap is amazing! Our server was super busy but was very polite and made sure to apologize for delays in our order. They appeared a little understaffed but other than that our visit was very enjoyable.

We’re from Spokane valley, and wanted to go to sushi Sakai near us but the place was moved to a different location. We saw this place in downtown and decided to stop by. I wanted Tempura udon and my husband ordered teriyaki chicken combo and fatty tuna roll. They were delicious. Listening to slow jazz, ambiance of the place, the Glass for the beer we ordered was even chilled. We had some misunderstanding with order but server corrected immediately. Good food good service.
