My dad and son wanted to try Gordy's because of the great reviews!!

We got there, is was cramped, noisy and uncomfortable!!

My husband tried the blackened beef, asked for mild but got way too spicy!! My husband got a soda and they gave him a can of pop!!

We had oolong tea ☕️ which I really liked!!
The oolong ☕️ tea was like green and black tea combined!! Really good!! Don't need too much sugar for that kind of tea!!

I got their dumplings, they were doughy and the vegetables were way too spicy for me too eat!!

My son got sweet and sour pork but said that there was no sour to it, it was just sweet!!

My dad got pork pho noodles, and they weren't too spicy!! The mildest dish along with the sweet and sour pork dish!!

They had chopsticks to use, but we wanted silverware so they gave us spoons then forks, it was somewhat hard to eat!!

The staff was friendly and explained things well. My son said they have the right idea, they just need to fine tune it some more!!

Some of the food looked amazing, but the taste thru you off, my dumplings looked amazing until I bit into the vegetables and the doughy dumpling!!

We got a big bowl of plain rice, my husband and son liked it, my dad tried a little, I didn't try any! It comes with the meals, its set up family style, so you have to adjust to that type of eating!!

We got to go boxes and ended up switching meals around from the ones we had chosen, we didn't end up eating a lot, so most of us were still hungry!!

The staff informed us that their menu is real flexible and they will adjust spiciness as you go, there is 3 levels: MILD, MEDIUM AND HOT!! You can interchange different meats with the dishes, they offer vegan and gluten free options, I believe.

Their menu is quite interchangeable which is nice but you have to understand what you are getting to adjust it to your liking

It's just NOT what we thought!!

Wonderful food, not the sweet greasy Chinese food that has become ubiquitous in the US. Fresh ingredients, good spicing.

I love their food and when I come to Spokane, I head straight to Gordy's for the Lemon Chicken - spectacular with chunks of real lemon in it and a dryish, dense and exquisite coating. The Red Seafood Curry featured a good selection of seafood and a mid spice level, as asked for. We always have takeout, which we pick up. The service for takeout is prompt, the resto is well located and the price is great. Go there!

Had the Black Peppered beef, meat was nice and pleasantly seasoned and small to average amount, a little disappointed it only came with just the meat and meat only. For an extra dollar for each guest they will give you steamed basic rice.... Hmmm Oh well the service was OooKkkk... From the owner of the restaurant... Hmm again, She was pleasant as she could be, being the owner and was knowledgeable about the items on menu. Weird thing is, and I'm saying really weird is that when finished she boxed up my meal and offered an extra scoop of rice, Thats the weird part. When I got home I had only rice and the juice that remained with the meal (Seriously) I am on Carb Diet (Ketosis) So I don't usually finish any restaurant meal. As was the case with this one. I portioned off 1/8 to one quarter of the meal on plate and ate that to stay within my 21g of carbs a day. So I had just a little more than 75% of the meal left. When I got home not one spec of meat or the egg plant bits it was mixed with. Wow Went to the site and made notice of that. Got response from owner server (That I was shocked and had no idea at the time she was owner except that she was overly observant about our reactions to the meals) She stated that she has no idea what happened to the remainder of my meal, said she didn't eat it??? Whatever... Was a pretty good except for the real strange situation with the left overs...

My sister and I ordered takeout a couple of weeks ago, so I can't comment on the restaurant's atmosphere. However, I will say that the man who answered the phone and took our order was extremely efficient and polite, and our order was ready within minutes of our arrival.

My sister's Black Date Chicken was one of the best Chinese dishes I've ever tasted, and I lived in China for three years! I ordered the Smoked Pork Noodle, which was also good, but I would say it was only a couple of steps above Panda Express. We ordered the jiaozi (dumplings) as well, and these were disappointing. I've had the Japanese version (gyoza), as well as jiaozi in both Shanghai and Beijing--I would say that, in my opinon, jiaozi you can get in the freezer section of your local grocery are better than Gordy's.
