We spent a stat vacation at the Double Tree Hotel. A very nice hotel with a very friendly staff. The rooms were clean to a very high standard and the facilities very modern. Located 10 minutes from the airport and adjacent to one of the largest shopping malls in the Northwest.

I normally have a good experience at this hotel so I stay there often when I am in Renton for business, The location is great, within walking distance of Southcenter Mall and many restaurants. This time, however, they forgot to enter my direct bill information and then blamed my staff for not setting it up ahead of time. Luckily my assistant makes sure to document everything so I was able to back up my claim that they were at fault, not me.

Love staying here. It’s location is perfect for my needs, the rooms are clean, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the bar is well stocked. It’s a great value for the price. This is my “go to” place when I stay in SeaTac.

The property had a nice airy feel, very clean, staff was very friendly. We stayed several days for an organization reunion and the food was excellent as were the meeting venues. Sleeping room was spacious, clean and very comfortable beds.

I stayed here for a business conference for five days. The hotel staff were mostly competent. No real issues there. I received the famous Doubletree cookie (thick chocolate chip & walnut). Upon check in, I found out that I was pre-checked into my room. That was very convenient.

I received five free vouchers for the buffet breakfast due to my conference group. The selection was rather pitiful. The scrambled eggs were watery, potatoes soggy and the French toast was soggy and/or hard/stale. Coffee and orange juice was offered. If you wanted something else to drink, you had to ask for it. There were also three other types of juices available for self-serve. I suppose I shouldn't gripe too much as it was free.

What wasn't free was the parking. $14/day plus tax?! Since when is a service taxed? They did, however, give me a discount. I ended up paying $8/day plus tax. The hotel staff indicated the parking that is and around the hotel, including the office building to the northeast and the Outback Steakhouse to the west, is all part of their property.

The room was basic, but large. It has a main bedroom and a separate living room, each with it's own TV. The closet and bathroom separate the two. The sink is outside of the bathroom and the bathroom itself consists of a toilet and a shower/tub. A minibar is provided, empty that is. It's just a mini fridge. It did come in use though, so I was happy about that. I purchased some food and drinks and the neighboring Target, which is within walking distance. There is, however, no direct link from the hotel property to the Target as there is a park/river area.

I did need one of my clothings washed. The form indicated a price for pants at $7.50 plus tax. I calculated city sales tax at 10.1%, which would have come to approximately $8.25. that includes a $0.50 fee. However, upon check out, that washing came to $11 and change. I later found a laundromat which charges $1. Crap!

Location-wise, Sea-Tac airport is a couple miles to the west. There were numerous restaurants, fast food, shops and a large Westfields mall across the street to the north. Everything within walking distance.

On a side note, every time I stay at a hotel, I like to check out the adult section of the entertainment. For a laugh really! I was quite please to see gay porn was featured. Better than that, it was featured on the main screen of the adult section of the TV and not back in a sub-menu. I'm very happy to see how progressive the Hilton brand has become. What is not good is that they charge $19.99. No way in Hell is it ever worth $20 bucks for any type of film, mainstream movies included.

Like I said, it wasn't a bad stay, but it was not great. Would I stay again? Only if my company was to pay for it, but personally, I would not.

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry you were not 100% satisfied with your stay. I will pass your feedback regarding breakfast to the Director of Food and Beverage as your experience was certainly not up to our standard of service.

There is a laundromat at a sister Hilton property about a mile away but the prices are higher than $1 per load.

We appreciate your business and if you would like to speak further about your stay, you may contact me at the hotel directly.
