Show lessAfter two months of travelling the States we wanted a motel close to SeaTac to rest up before an international flight. We chose Travelodge SeaTac because the price was right for our needs. Please also note that staying at a 4 or 5 star hotel is not our norm but we expected a lot more than we paid for at this location.
Pros:
no bed bugs or roaches
the employees were friendly
Cons (in no particular order):
The shuttle may have been mechanically ok but the seatbelt on the front bench seat was broken on the passenger side and I noticed a lot of repairs inside including the driver’s seatbelt was held together with duct tape; the shuttle was filthy inside. The various drivers that we had were sloppily dressed as if they were pulled from another job.
We reserved and received a confirmation for a room with a queen size bed – the bed was not queen size but rather a full size. I actually laid across the bed and my head and shoulders were hanging off the bed whereas at home I did the same thing and my head was supported to the bridge of my nose. I am only 62 inches tall. The front desk personnel claim all beds are Queens.
The advertisement on the website indicated all rooms came with a mini fridge and a microwave – our room had a fridge, no microwave.
We may have observed a drug deal going on in the parking lot and we don’t want to say prostitutes but something was going on down the way from us with lots of male traffic and a couple of ladies dressed less than I would.
We became aware of several customers leaving and relocating to another hotel – we didn’t bother since we were just spending the night and most of the next day before returning to the airport
No elevators - but we did have a “little” assistance getting our luggage up to our room on the second floor. Departing with luggage was unassisted.
The room had a nasty odor
The stairways and areas leading to our room were filthy – loaded with debris and litter. The railings could have used a good coat of paint and the concrete areas needed a good sweeping and hosing down.
After reporting an inoperable shower, we were shown that users had to forcefully pull out the knob and it was so spongy it felt like it was coming out of the wall.
We did not feel safe just walking unescorted (or escorted) to the store across the parking lot – there were lots of groups of boys/men just hanging around for no apparent reason
The walls around the carpeted area needed a good cleaning – it was filthy and pieces of the wall were crumbling or had crumbled and were never vacuumed up
Mold on the shower curtain
The wall-mounted lights by the bed did not work and had exposed wires
The walls were patched in many places but not thoroughly covered by paint
Since we had to be at the airport in the wee hours of the morning, we also left a wake-up call for 2:00 a.m. as a back-up. We ended up waking the staff when we double-checked on/confirmed our shuttle trip to the airport.
Although we observed the cleaning staff doing their job weI still felt surrounded by “cooties”
Travelodge, we do believe that you could do a lot better by your customers because staying at this location, even for the short time we were there, was less than pleasant.
The inside lock on the door was broken. They would not let me check in early although they had a room available unless I paid extra fees. They charged a bogus additional fee to my credit card that I had to have reversed. It is a rundown place to stay in and not so safe neighborhood. Look elsewhere.

We have time to check in after 3.00 PM if you arrive 10.00 am We need extra help from house keeping staff to Clean you room first than another Room We told you no charge if you come to check in after 1.30 P.M
Night time girl was rude. Motel style with odor or room. Did not feel safe. Most of the lights didn't work
The one positive is that we got a shuttle ride from the airport and it was close.

Customer service is awful, rude, and u professional. In a terrible part of town. Police literally outside our window. Stay anywhere else.
