Been a customer for many years. Excellent selection of ala carte meals, bentos, & sushi. Generous servings, especially in the bento meals. Also can't beat their nabes, which has the most favorable broth. Extremely busy, so recommend reservations or taking your chances during a slow period

Sashimi was fresh. Crunchy roll was supposed to be Shrimp Tempura. Turned out to be fake crab meat. Busy place so you can’t linger over dinner. There is a line out the door with more customers waiting to get in. Not a place to enjoy dinner. Just eat and leave. Convenient location with parking in the strip mall.

Sushi is good but if the place is busy you will have to wait to be served and it’s the only reason why I won’t give 5 starts. The staff is friendly and you have the option of seating at the sushi bar if you don’t want to wait for a table.

I went for dinner. Had a crunchy California roll and a Go Storm roll. Great sushi rolls. Great service. A little pricey compared to other sushi places I've been to but worth it.

We had special guests coming to our house from out of the country, so we wanted to order some sushi and sashimi as take-out from this restaurant. We went directly to the restaurant to order the food and ordered an assortment of food, including 7 (SEVEN) orders of combination sushi/sashimi for us and our guests. Chelsea was our server and Kate was our cashier. They informed us that they would call us on our phone when the food was ready, so we went outside to look at some surrounding stores. A full 1 hour went by, but we still did not receive any phone call so we went back to the restaurant and saw that our food was sitting at the counter. We were in a hurry to get back to our guests at this point, so we hurried and paid the full amount of $645.19 ($200 via gift certificate and $445.19 charged to the credit card). The restaurant did not give us an itemized receipt at the time.

Once we got home, we opened the bags of food and found that they had given us 10 (TEN) orders of combination sushi/sashimi. At this time, we figured that they had probably overcharged for the food so we called up the restaurant and explained the situation to our previous server and cashier, Chelsea and Kate. Instead of apologizing for their mistake and making the situation right by letting us know that they would only charge us for the 7 (SEVEN) combination sushi/sashimi that we had ordered, they INSISTED that we bring the extra food back to the restaurant. We quickly ate what we had ordered and cut short our dinner with guests so that we could get back to the restaurant. This took us an extra 40 minutes to travel back to the restaurant.

Back at the restaurant, we asked to see the itemized receipt and saw that they had actually charged us for 11 (ELEVEN) combination sushi/sashimi at $50 per combo. So to summarize, we ordered 7 (SEVEN) orders, but they gave us 10 (TEN), then charged us for 11 (ELEVEN) - overcharging us by $200 + tax.

At this point, we were very frustrated at the situation. We even suspect at this point that they overcharged us on purpose. I asked the manager working that night to make the situation right. He stated that he would charge us for the full 7 (SEVEN) orders still, because that is the amount of food we ate. We countered that due to the restaurant's own mistake, our evening was ruined and we had to waste our own time to travel back to the restaurant because they insisted that we bring the extra food back. We countered that they could keep the gift certificate (sunken cost at this point because we weren't ever going to come back to this restaurant), but they should cancel the rest of the charge on the credit card. The restaurant, through their own mistake, charged us $645.19 (overcharged by $200 +tax). The actual charge for the order should have been about $445.19, so we felt it would be fair that they could keep the $200 gift certificate (which was money already given to the restaurant) and the rest of the $225.19 would be cancelled and we could call it even. The manager calls the restaurant owner, but they refuse. They insist that they will still charge us the full amount.

At this point, we threatened to cancel charge with the credit card company and left frustrated, asking them to do the right thing. Today, I see that the restaurant has posted the full charge of $645.19 (with the 4 extra orders of sushi/sashimi that they had mistakenly given and charged us) on the credit card statement.

This is the type of business establishment this restaurant is. Even if they make multiple mistakes with the order and waste their customers' time, they still feel it is right to charge the full amount (with the extra charge for the extra food through their mistake). I really have never felt so disrespected and wronged by a business before. Now, I have to waste even more time, and will be putting a claim through the credit company.
