Riverfront Park connects to Walla Walla Point Park, which connects to Wenatchee Confluence State Park, resulting in 4.6 miles of walking trail and biking trail along the Columbia River and Wenatchee River. This trail is also part of the 11 mile Apple Capital Loop Trail popular with bicyclists. Riverfront Park is well maintained and a pretty walk along the river, ending at Pybus Public Market. Walla Walla Park is also well maintained with picnic areas, swimming beach and ball fields.
A visual delight seeing the variety of sculptures displayed down the winding path along the Columbia River. Peaceful setting for an after dinner walk with your best friend.
Visit several times a week, quiet, calm, peaceful, good walking or biking trail, or just enjoying the solitude with the trees and river flowing by.
We had a wonderful stroll along the riverwalk, enjoying the sculpture garden and playing pokemon go.
The linear park runs along the Columbia River and incorporates a number of test gardens, a 10-mile bicycle/walking path, and the Art on the Avenues Sculpture Garden. I spent an early evening and the following morning walking along the handicapped accessible path. I believe there are currently 88 sculptures with most of them available for purchase though a few are owned by the Art on the Avenues organization. The park attracts young and old.
This area of the city provides a pleasant way to spend some time enjoying the river and maybe have a picnic.
