Friends had told me that this was a great place to go and relax... finally made it and I can attest to their finding - this is GREAT place to go and relax. Book a package and take advantage of the fabulous spa.

Of course an historic inn, sitting next to the state park preserving the America's First Spa, is a relaxing place. Berkeley Springs is a very small artsy town. Downtown is only a few blocks... you come here to chill!

Berkeley Springs State Park is right there. It is an easy stroll down the path to see George Washington's bathtub, the bathhouse and some natural springs. You can book an appointment there too if you want an historic spa experience.

Our room was a pleasant surprise - comfy beds, lots of space, clean & tidy.
The restaurant was fabulous - try the adult grilled cheese with chutney for lunch! Locals recommended it when we walked around time looking for options for other meals. I would guess due to the B&B culture of the area, there are not many options for breakfast - so the Inn is where it is at!

The staff was fabulous, bending over backwards to make us comfortable. The had umbrellas handy when the skies opened up. They printed tickets when someone forgot to print concert tickets before we left home. They provided recommendations for shops. They recommended sites to see in the area.

We would go back to destress again!

We found a new regular place for us to stay!
Exceptional Staff, Great 5 Star dining, at Bar/Pub Prices.!
Rooms clean and comfortable.
Town had event in Park, Great people, all friendly and engaging. Park is splendid with Roman Bath style Springs Bathhouse. Less than $35 for over an hour of couples soaking in the healing waters.
This place is a hidden gem and worth a special trip, just to stay there!
You will not be disappointed. We want to "LIVE there" literally, one of the est Inns we have been to, and we have traveled for over 35 years.

Room Tip: You cannot go wrong with this place. We Love the Gardens & Springs. Book a Spa day!

The first time (2 years ago) I stayed in the annex behind the main building. Updated rooms and clean, but, simple rooms. This time, because I just needed a place to stay the night on the way to a family event, stayed in the main building. While very clean, does have a slight moldy smell (the day long rain didn't help) and the furniture is very tied (well beyond the level of "quaint". There are window A/C units and they do cover the noise from US 522 out front.

Room Tip: All the noise comes from 24 hr a day traffic on US 522. The guests are not the problem.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay with us. Your comments are appreciated and will assist in providing a superior experience for all of our guests. Your guest room was our Full Deluxe located in the Historic Inn, and it is the smallest and most economic room we offer. I would recommend to all guests looking for a spacious, upgraded room to reserve a Queen or King Room. Thank you again for your comments, and we hope we can host you again in the future.

Sincerely,

We stayed one night . I booked a Deluxe Full Bed room based on the web site description, it was for me and my small son. We arrived late and it was hard to find parking spot, so we parked far in the back. Registration was fast and we got room 34 . This is a corner room and had no view from any of the windows. One view - a roof, other view - back of the building and a roof :)
Room was super small, had TV, storage area, bathroom was tiny but ok for an older hotel. The main problem was noice - window air conditioner super noisy and during the rain noise of running water did not let me gave any good sleep. In the morning i tried to make coffee in the room but coffee maker was nasty inside of the water tank, so I went to get free coffee downstairs.
We had our breakfast in hotel, food was nothing special , buffet price was around 12.99 and half price for kids.
Main floor and outdoor garden are nice, lobby has some interesting displays , like a collection of water bottles and antique items from local area. Inn location is right in the middle of town, we walked to the park with water pools, coffee shop and Sunday street market. I did not have time to try any spa services. If to return - probably I will try a modern part of the inn.

Dear Tatiana,

Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay with us. Your comments will help to ensure all guests have a superior stay with us. The room that you booked was an entry level room and the smallest room we offer with a full size bed. Our web site describes it well and does not state that it has a view. I would recommend to any guest that would like a view and a larger room to reserve one of our Queen or King rooms. Our Reservation Staff is eager to assist anyone over the phone so that we may reserve the room that best fits your needs, so please contact us and we can ensure you receive exactly what you're looking for. Arriving late on a Saturday night will likely mean that your parking space will not be directly in front of our main entrance. We have parking that wraps around our property, and when we are busy our guests may have to park on the side of our building. Again, we appreciate your feedback and thank you for staying with us.

Sincerely,
