Absolutely breath-taking! Beautiful and sad at the same time. All of the names of the fallen solders will help you to realize just how many West Virginians gave their lives for their Great Country!

The State Capital buildings were closed when we visited, but the surrounding area and ground were very nice to see.
We found the veterans memorial very interesting, it has several statues in the circular monument, each showing a different era and each showing a different war.
A very nice tribute to all the veterans from the state.

When we entered the Capitol grounds we immediately noticed this monument to the veterans of West Virginia . very very moving tribute to those who gave their lives for these four wars: World War I World War II, Korea and Vietnam. Also a very nice monument to Women veterans, and coal miners at this location
