The setting by the capitol is very nice. It is a well executed memorial and easily accessible for pretty much anyone.

If you want to respect those who have given their lives for this nation, visit the memorial which represents the four armed services of our nation and those who have died from WWI forward. The four heroic bronze sculptures, surrounded by a reflecting pool is the appropriate setting for the names listed on polished black granite in the interior of the monument.

Too see all the names of those who have given their lives for their country from the small state of West Virginia is sobering. A fitting tribute built in their honor.

This is a great memorial to the military from West Virginian in past wars. The state has done a superb job with recent renovation after local vets and friends began needed repair and clean up. It is in anice, quiet spot on the Capitol grounds, near the Cultural Center and State Museum. This is well worth a stop for reflection and honoring our veterans.

Absolutely breath-taking! Beautiful and sad at the same time. All of the names of the fallen solders will help you to realize just how many West Virginians gave their lives for their Great Country!

The State Capital buildings were closed when we visited, but the surrounding area and ground were very nice to see.
We found the veterans memorial very interesting, it has several statues in the circular monument, each showing a different era and each showing a different war.
A very nice tribute to all the veterans from the state.
