I spend 3 days in one of the cottages good for 14 people. It was a great experience. My family loved the chair lift, horse back riding and nature walks and it was a great overall experience with a wonderful location of this resort. Will be returning for longer next time for sure.

The resort looks like it was recently updated - rooms very clean and most spaces very nice. The indoor pool is a bit small but the outdoor pool is more than adequate. While everyone was very friendly, they did not always seems to have visited any places in the surrounding area so they couldn't help with recommendations. The golf course is long though everything is fairly straight.

The lodge is staff with friendly people. How can you not enjoy a few minutes on the balcony overlooking the pool and the tennis courts. However the tennis courts are not kept up like they were a few years back. the cabins are nestled in a wooded area handy to hiking trails.

Lovely facility but our overall experience was not as positive as it could have been. On arrival, it took an unreasonably long time to check in. The young man at the reception desk was friendly but he was having trouble getting housekeeping to respond to his REPEATED calls for room status (at 3:30 pm) and left us waiting for quite a while, as other guests backed-up behind us. Room keys sometimes worked, often didn't throughout our 2-night stay. The room was not as clean as it should have been. We always wipe-down hotel rooms with disinfecting wipes; they were all coming up very dirty. On our first morning there was a large clump of mud or something right in front of the elevators on our floor; the next morning it was still there, so the area was never cleaned. The cafe didn't open till 8, which is late for morning coffee (and the dining room took such a long time to bring out 2 take-out coffees!) On check-out (around 9 am) there was no one at the desk. After waiting a long time, I called "Hello" and a woman came out, never said anything like "Good Morning, how can I help you?" or even hello. Never spoke at all. Took a longer time than seemed reasonable to process our receipt, which she handed over without even saying "Thank you" or asking how we enjoyed our stay. An elderly couple asked her how to get to the dining room and she was so unhelpful I ended up giving them directions. Odd and unpleasant behavior for someone working in hospitality, esp. at the reception desk.

The Hickory Dining Room's dinner buffet leaves a lot to be desired. Mashed potatoes were cold, flank steak was dried out from setting and salmon was also over cooked. Breakfast is a delight, everything is hot and tasty. Had a pizza in the lounge and it was decent, although not the best pizza I've ever ordered. The hotel is very comfortable, quiet and very clean.
