“so-so experience”
Reviewed 22 January 2016 for a stay in January 2016

The house is a nice size and is equipped with what you will need. There were some weird screws and things in the walls where something apparently previously hung but was no longer there. A number of things didn't work - the front porch light was out, the gas fireplace would not go on, we had no internet access and the phone didn't work. I emailed the management company and they never responded. I rented with them before and they were good with responses before we arrived there so I was surprised. Also, the directions that they gave indicated that signs would be well marked from the main roadway showing where our development was. The road signs didn't, however. We had to stop and get a map of the mountain and then try to figure out what road to use to get there. We found it but it was frustrating because it was dark and snowing so it took a bit. They should have told us what road to turn off from the main road to get to the development. The house is nice but a bit isolated from the rest of the resort.

Management Response
4 Feb 2016
Thanks for the observations. We've reacted immediately to fix or cure any shortcomings our guest experienced. Telephone/internet is a utility we don't control. Apparently one service sector in the area of the resort suffered a service interruption for a couple of days which has been subsequently restored. Our website and our printed arrival instructions both contain a dedicated Google Map to the exact location of the front door of the house, matching GPS coordinates, and driving instructions. On Flipkey, TripAdvisor and our own main business website there is a picture of the exact road sign off Snowshoe Drive where one turns to go to Camp 4. Perhaps the guest didn't see or read the arrival material in detail. Generally, our excellent directions, maps and GPS addresses direct all our guests smoothly to their destination.

“Great Lodging for Family!”

First time to stay outside the village area. Camp 4, Unit 21 is perfect for families. Enjoyed having the extra space as the rooms in the village are tiny. The unit was clean and very well stocked. Reservation specialists were great to deal with. The location may not be ski in/ski out depending on the amount of snow. We were aware of this at booking. Regardless, the extra space was worth it even with the Yew Pine trail not yet having snow. Kip sends fantastic emails with mountain tips and snow reports prior to arrival. Plan to stay in this location on our next trip!
