This fish bowl is a "don't miss" in our annual visits to Door County. The whole meal is top notch - and with beverage and dessert included in the price, it's a good value too.

Thank Glenn B

We had the best time at the Old Post Office Fish Boil in Ephraim, WI. The restaurant has two seatings a night - guests arrive 20 minutes early to watch the fish boil in action....a real treat and learning experience. The fish are fresh whitefish. The wait staff helps you debone the fish table side. Boiled potatoes, onions, a great coleslaw and delicious breads completed the menu...oh, and yummy cherry pie for dessert. All for one great price......worth the money and your time.......such good eats.

We made reservations for their Fish Boil. Earl was the fish boil master and he did a fabulous job explaining everything to us. This was our first fish boil and the food was excellent. Staff was very friendly. We will come again.

This was my second visit to The Old Post Office for the fish boil. The overall experience is a shouldn't-miss aspect of visiting Door County. The staff is very professional and friendly. The evening began with the boil in the back with Earl, the Boilmaster. He is very knowledgeable and entertaining and explains the history of the fish boil as well as some entertaining jokes. The "boilover" is a great photo-op and highlight of the experience. Once inside, you go through a buffet line to get your food. The whitefish is very tasty, as are the onions and potatoes. The meal also comes with cherry pie and your choice of coffee/tea/lemonade. We were fortunate to have a great view of the lake during our meal. It was a delightful evening and you really feel like you're experiencing something unique to this region of the country. There is also a chicken option for those who don't care for fish. My wife found it very tasty. The price is quite reasonable for the overall experience, and the food is very enjoyable and tasty.

A few tips I would share: 1-Call ahead for reservations. The sooner you have a reservation, the better your seat in the dining room (as I understand it). 2-The town of Ephraim is a dry community insofar as no liquor can be sold, so if you want alcohol it's BYOB. No biggie for us, but just an FYI. I noticed several others in our group doing this, so assume it's okay.
