When we walked in we were in awe of the gorgeous fireplace and cozy environment. Some of us were looking around in the entrance room when half of the party was quickly whisked away to our table and given menus. The waiter seemed rushed to get us to order and did not seem to notice/care that we were tourists wanting to settle in and take our time previewing the menu. When we ordered MULTIPLE starters each instead of entrees; he seemed to become more agitated. At one point he asked if that was all I would be ordering and when I responded that I was saving room for dessert he cut me off and said "So that's a yes." The food came to the table and was very yummy. We truly enjoyed the pumpkin soup as well as the chilled apple soup sampler that was brought to the table. After dinner, we ordered a dessert for the table to share and the waiter began grabbing silverware from our hands as we were ending our dinner course. It was becoming more apparent that his disdain was solely for us as he mingled and socialized nicely with the other 2 parties in the dining room. Dessert was a warm pumpkin bread pudding which we quickly shared and got out of there as soon as possible. Sadly, this was NOT the welcome we expected on our first night in Door County.
