Our six night stay was very good. Our room was large with a very comfortable bed, a large picture window looking out over the pool area, two padded armchairs and a gas fireplace. The property has its own hiking trails and we had a good morning hiking all over the property. We had the trails to ourselves on a holiday weekend!

If you have any interest in watching TV, our room only got about 6 channels. It was an odd assortment of networks and cable? It did not include ESPN and I was very sad not to be able to watch the U.S. Open at night after a long day of fun in Door County.

I will say that the room was dark and it was hard to read at night. I would recommend to the Inn that they include a reading lamp (or two) by the armchairs.

Continental Plus breakfast is included, which means they have a toaster with breads, sweet loaf, fruit, yogurt, instant oatmeal, juice, coffee, milk and cereal. It filled us up each morning, but I sincerely wish they had add a few "Door County" touches. Almost everything is the Walmart brand, sealed tightly in its own packaging. Even the jelly? Why not have some Door County jam out? Or local fruit?

The location is very good. Less than 5 minutes to Fish Creek (still a little too far to walk) and central to everything. Overall, we liked our experience and would recommend this property to our family and friends.

Room Tip: I would ask to face the pool instead of the parking lot

We booked a romance rejuvenation package at this hotel/spa for our anniversary. It came with a two night stay in a whirlpool tub room. A 1 1/2 hour couples massage at the spa. A $100 gift card for one of the restaurants (you choose from 3). A bottle of wine and some bath salts for the tub. We don't drink so asked for non-alcoholic wine. They put in a nice "alcohol removed" White Zinfandel. We checked in and the room was lovely. It had a nice king bed, a fireplace that was gas, a small kitchenette that had a microwave and fridge. They also had a set of two dishes, plates, glasses, silverware etc.. That was nice. We actually had so much food from our restaurant that we had leftovers for our dinner the next night. The fridge and plates etc. were very handy. The grounds are nice. There is an outdoor pool as well. We didn't use it though. They also had a continental breakfast which I didn't know was available so a pleasant surprise. They had cereal, oatmeal, pastry, English muffins and toast, yogurt and coffee. We don't drink coffee and would have liked some juice available or even a pitcher of ice water. They didn't have either of those. The bed seemed really comfortable at first but after sleeping in it realized very quickly that it wasn't comfortable. I had a backache both nights. A great bed would have made it a perfect weekend.

The Romance Rejuvenation Package is very popular here at the Settlement. We are so happy you enjoyed that package with us. I like the idea of a pitcher of ice water with breakfast. I am sorry you missed the orange & apple juice that is kept in the small refrigerator in the breakfast area. Maybe on your next trip you would like to try one of our other packages. Thank you for all your kind words and the 5 of 5.
Thank you,

Elaine

Outdoor pool, grilling supplies provided, hiking/biking trails connected to property, spotty wifi. Older property - beds could be upgraded. Spa is great- make your reservations early to be able to get in.

Our room was very comfortable with a kitchen and fireplace. The hotel is in a relaxing setting while also being close to Fish Creek and activities. The continental breakfast was just ok, but I wasn't expecting a full breakfast either. The pool was small but very nice and clean! On the downsize, the internet connection was not the best. Overall, my husband and I had a nice stay. We would come back!

We stayed 7/10 through 7/14. We found the room clean and comfy. Downside, no elevators and all of our luggage had to be carted upstairs. Asked for extra wash clothes everyday and only received them one time. Would have been nice if their continental breakfast had some protein like boiled eggs. It was all carbs. At $200 a night I guess we expected more. Day 3 a storm knocked out the power and also left us with no running water in the evening. I kind of thought that the front desk person, which was the only staff there might come to the rooms (30 rooms and they were less than half full) with either flashlights or candles and matches. Instead I had to go in search of them. She was just standing in the lobby with 3 large lit candles for herself. She did give me a couple of tea lights and a book of matches. Isn't this kind of a fire hazard?? The older couple next to us were not willing to go down in the dark to get candles so I gave them mine and went back for more. My husband went in to check out and found the same person who's name begins with an H somewhat rude when he asked for a copy of our bill. She said "oh you want to make sure I didn't put extra charges on your bill?! So rude! She never even asked how our stay was! I don't think her job is a good fit for her and unfortunately it left a bad taste in our mouths so we won't return. The spa was great thiugh!

Room Tip: The wifi was slow and would shut down from tine to time.

We use these reviews to always improve our service and we appreciate your feedback. I wanted you to know that my husband and I were there for the power outage setting up the generator and providing lights in the parking lot for guests still checking in. There is a lot to do when that happens and we want to make sure you have water and some emergency lighting until the power is restored. Tea lights do not create a fire hazard but thank you for your concern.

Our family of four just returned from an impromptu long-weekend at the Settlement Inn. This hotel had everything we needed, and lots of nice touches for a particularly comfortable and convenient stay:

-Clean, cozy, atmospheric room with comfortable queen beds and nice bed linens.
-Tons of storage, convenient kitchenette and large fridge, gas fire place, dvd player for movies with the kids for when they were wiped out after a day of outdoor activities
-Nice view of backyard of property and pool, which looked great but we didn't get around to using; bbq and table/chairs out back in case you feel like staying in an grilling
-Conveniently located to Fish Creek, Ephraim, Sister Bay, Egg Harbor, etc; everything we wanted to do was within around 20 min of hotel
-Everything from the continental breakfast to the friendly and helpful front desk staff to the chess set in the common area seemed carefully thought out with guests' comfort and convenience in mind.

We will for sure come back. Thank you!
