If you are into cars, especially muscle cars, this place is awesome, but does have a few drawbacks. The forethought that Elmer had to acquire this collection is amazing. He purchased new, a 69 Dodge Daytona and 70 Plymouth Superbird, and then hardly drove them. The Daytona only has 300 miles on it. Now the drawbacks; no photos allowed of the collection, cars parked too close together, and dimly lit buildings. Even with those issues, I plan to visit again next year.

We could not even get down the rows to see anything.
Too crowded. You cant get a walker or wheel chair down the rows of cars. You do not need to display 3 of the same cars. Maybe you could take 2 out and make room so if you charge people to get in they can actually get in. We were there to see the peddle cars they were way high up and to far away to get a good look at them.

The collections is jammed into far too small of an area. Had this been in a proper building, with decent displays, it could be the #1 tourist attraction in the Midwest. The collection is great, but too much stuff jammed in , under, behind, and over there, in the dimly lit areas.

No Cameras allowed, no pictures period.

Buildings are almost dark, very poor lighting, yes it is THAT DARK.

Elmers Auto & Toy Museum is a must see! There are so many cars to see of all makes and models. And there are hundreds of pedal cars! Cars in rows in long sheds, pedal cars hanging out above and around - seemingly everywhere you look. The toy collection is so large that you will need time to adjust your vision to see everything on each shelf. The icing on the cake is the setting and view! This place is on one of the highest bluffs along the Mississippi River and it's just beautiful! If you love to see unusual and old cars, pedal cars and toys you will not want to miss this.
