Owner description: A venue for vinifera, the Captain's Walk Winery offers premium grape wine tasting in a light-hearted manner. Partake in a laid back experience that usurps the snobbery out of wine while enjoying a unique tasting education. This pre-civil war house has been updated carefully to recapture 150 years of character. Plaster crown molding, the original fireplace and hardwood floors complement openings that offer viewing of the production room and cellars.

Perfect add to downtown Green Bay; not to mention great wine. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Sample wine, make your own wine, host an event, attend an event or just go there to buy some wine, you won't be dissappointed.

Spent an afternoon wine tasting in Green Bay. The tasting bar was crowded which is usually a good sign. When we arrived they asked if we had a Groupon, which we didn't. Heads up - check out Groupon for a tasting coupon. We had a nice gal pour our wines. This was our second stop and although the wine was good it wasn't great. Our first stop was Mona Rose Winery and we were spoiled by them :)

Good varieties. Two different tasting options. Wished we would have had a little more info given to us about wines from the server, but they were very busy at the time we were there. Captain's Red was favorite wine. Also liked their new Hard Cider.

Visited "The Captain" and tasted his goods. They offer a $3 (7-wine) special to the visitors. Most of the wines are of the dry variety and even the "dessert wine" was still drier than we like. So if you are a dry wine aficionado we suggest you stop by. Otherwise i would try another winery. Bottles range from $12 to 18. We did however like the freshly brewed hard cider and bought that to bring home and enjoy.

Just found this gem. Disappointed it took almost two years of living only 5 miles away to discover it. The wine is wonderful. The atmosphere is nostalgic. The service was way above average!! Thank you Jim! I will definitely make it a destination when I need to just go relax and unplug.
