Went for dinner the other night and was greeted by the sweetest server, Marissa. She was very helpful in answering our questions since it was our first visit. Both my husband and I ordered the calamari for an app. It was very good and the sauce tasty. We then ordered the special of ribs and filet. The filet was melt in your mouth good. Will be heading back for future meals.

Embers is the best place for a sit down dinner in Wisconsin Dells.
The fish was cooked to perfection and the twice baked potato was the best I have ate out. Order the chicken..very unique.

Ordered cheese curds as appetizer & so far they were the best we have had so far! They were not over breaded, & not over cooked, they were perfect! For an entree we ordered fettuccini alfredo one with shrimp, one with chicken. Both were delicious. The bread was so good. We had no complaints, the waitress was down to earth & fantastic, a very out going people person. We enjoyed our meal & our drinks

This restaurant looks beautiful on the outside and the staff was nice. The food was awful We had the Chicken Mediterranean Linguini, Chicken Parmesan, Hickory Smoked BBQ Ribs and the Embers Burger. The Parmesan was the best of the group, but somewhat bland. Salt and extra parmesan cheese helped. The burger was okay, but the bun was bloody. The burger was ordered "medium". The ribs were very tough and chewy and had little flavor. The worst meal of the evening was the Chicken Mediterranean Linguini. It came swimming in oil/undrained pasta water. The chicken was rubbery and a small portion compared to the amount of flavorless linguini in the dish. We had to ask for extra parmesan cheese to add to this dish, but that too, was like eating plastic. Extreme waste of money.

Sorry you were disappointed in all your food that evening. Some how with all the food being so terrible, no one knew - not the chefs, management nor the server. The server appeared at your table no less than three times and everything was fine. Every order of Chicken Mediterranean Linguini is made fresh. The Mediterranean Linguini is made with fresh tomatoes, garden basil, fresh garlic, olive oil, a touch of white wine, Fresh feta cheese and kalamata olives. Omitting the Feta cheese and kalamata olives changes the flavor of the dish. The chicken breast served is a 6 oz portion before cooking. Parmesan cheese is a fresh shredded cheese and is not grated. We support Wisconsin Dairy products by serving all Wisconsin Cheeses. Our BBQ Ribs are Hickory Smoked on premise two to three times a week, in our own specially designed smokehouse. Very surprised that the ribs were tough, however it can happen and we would have been happy to prepare another order of ribs. The House of Embers is always happy to correct any meal that a customer is not satisfied with, however it would be nice if the customer would let us know.

Dined at House of Embers while staying in Wisconsin Dells. The martini's were only about 3/4 full when served, My dining companion asked for dirty martini, and had to send it back. The french onion soup was served in a large soup bowl with the toasted bread on it , and lack of melted cheese over the top. It appeared to look like Cambell's soup, with all the onions the same size. I had the mediteranean linguini with shrimp. It was pretty tasteless, and even the shrimp were bland. The dinner rolls appeared to be Rhodes frozen then baked at the restaurant, with some with cheese on top, and some without. Also the baked potato could have stayed in the oven about 10 minutes longer, and was relatively small in size for a restaurant potato.

Thank you for dining at House of Embers. Our martinis that are served up use a Grande Martini glass which is a 10 oz glass. Your martini had 7.5 oz of liquor with a splash of olive juice. Many restaurants use a 6 oz martini glass which when filled to the top is still only 5- 5.5 oz of liquor. Our martini is a great value, only $5.00 during Happy Hour at the bar. All of our soups are made in house. We have NEVER served soup out of a can. Any good chef can cut onions the same size, this doesn't mean the soup isn't homemade. The french onion soup served that evening was garnished with house made croutons and fresh Parmesan Cheese. The soup was advertised as French Onion not Baked French Onion for that evening. Many of our customers prefer a lighter soup on these hot summer evenings Mediterranean Shrimp Linguini has fresh tomatoes, fresh basil, fresh garlic, olive oil, white wine, feta cheese, kalamata olives and shrimp over linguini. This pasta has lots of flavor unless you omit one of the key ingredients such as the feta cheese and kalamata olives.

A potato or fresh vegetable is included with our dinners and house specialties unlike many restaurants which have gone to only including the main course and charging extra for a potato. This charge for a potato can be anywhere from $8.50 to $12.00 for a potato. At that price you should get a huge potato loaded with the works. A new deli opened in the Dells area and charges $6.95 for a baked potato with two toppings.
