Quaint setting and very friendly service. I have never seen the place off the walls busy, so I will go ahead and say the service is excellent (I have never waited longer than 7-10 minutes for a well prepared plate).

The food is very tasty and not basic. The plates are quite lively with the variety of sides or fillings your main course gets. The plates are a bit pricey but the amount of food that you receive is very generous and hearty. Many, many things to order from so enjoy!

I love it here. You get good food for what you pay, and is a fun environment. The server is fun and entertaining. Fun place to go with a group of friends, it's my go-to place when I'm craving Mexican food!

Jalisco's has several locations throughout Milwaukee. We have always enjoyed their food. It is the kind of food you would expect if you were visiting a family. The cost is reasonable and the portions generous.

If you need Mexican food and are in the area, this is an OK place to stop. Nothing special and menu is typical. They also have an AUCE buffet that I wasn't tempted by. I had a breakfast dish that was average. There was no hot sauce on the table and the salsa and chips brought to us was a very small portion and we were out in just a couple minutes. They did bring more when asked but it seemed a bit odd. My companion had a burrito that looked good but again, this wasn't anything special.

We've been coming here for years, at first for the great buffet where you can make your own taco/burrito/fajita/etc. But now we seem to come at a later time of day and always miss the buffet, so we just order the Vegetarian Burritos, and I ask for mine vegan-style, without sour cream or cheese. And then I use the salsa they serve with chips to pour on top of my burrito. When I ordered my burrito and asked for no sour cream, no cheese, our waiter said, "Ah! Vegan!" I was very impressed he knew what that was and told him so. I then described how I pour the salsa on my burrito and he offered to bring out their two house sauces, one green tomatillo, and the other was red and had a smokey flavor. No other server had ever offered that to me before! I never knew they had those sauces. They were really delicious, so I'm so glad we got the waiter we did - he was great. While we were waiting for our food, my boyfriend noticed a very long cobweb hanging from the light fixture just behind me. I turned around to look and sure enough, a 3 foot long cob web was dangling right over a table, it could have fallen at any moment into someone meal. So when you go, just look around for cobwebs and you'll be fine. The food comes in large portions, enough to take home for 2 meals, and the price is very reasonable, so double bonus! I hope you get the great waiter we had.
