Inn at Pine Terrace
Ranked #1 of 1 Oconomowoc B&B and Inns
Reviewed 22 August 2016

You might not know how to pronounce Oconomowoc in Wisconsin, but once in this charming town be sure to check into the Inn at Pine Terrace. It's a beautiful Victorian house with spacious rooms, excellent breakfasts and friendly owners. .

Room Tip: A first floor room that adjoins a living room is superb, and it has a great shower.

My bride and I stayed at the Inn at Pine Terrace to celebrate our anniversary!

We were welcomed as we came to inside office! Innkeeper John is friendly and answered all our questions! He showed us around and we enjoyed conversations with him throughout our stay!

There are many parlor type rooms on the main level! Kurig coffee machine for pre breakfast coffee! Library has historical books! We read through historical book on Oconomowoc which showed the inn after it was built in the 1800's! Amazing history!

Our room was on the third floor. From researching the original home, the third floor was where the servants stayed!
The servants rooms have since been redone and are as beautiful as the other rooms! Our room had queen bed and bathroom with walk in shower! Very nice!
No TV but that was fine by us... We were there as a couple and didn't need distractions! Some of the other rooms at the inn offer TV and have spa style tubs!

John served an amazing breakfast every morning! Delicious and filling! The entire staff was friendly and helpful!

The pool was clean and inviting even though we never used it!

The house is within walking distance of downtown... We enjoyed the walk!

This was our first time at a B&B and I loved it! The inn keepers are fabulous and seemed to be very attentive. He offered great suggestions on places to go downtown (gorgeous short walk away) as well.

Our room (#15) was a bit of a trek up to the 3rd floor but I like to think that helped me work off some of the amazing breakfast they served. There was a starter of greek yogurt over granola (sweetened with honey and vanilla I believe!), a main course of a spinach and sausage frittata that also included some banana bread muffins and sliced bananas and then they finished off with a course of cheese and cherries. Yum!

My hubby's only complaint was there was no TV in the room but I specifically picked that room because of that. Shhhh...there are rooms with TV's in them if needed.

The bathroom had cute little personal touches and I loved that the shampoo/conditioner/body wash were built in to the shower to be a bit more environmentally friendly.

Would definitely stay here again!

John is an amazing host, welcoming and makes sure you feel like the place is your home. Also his breakfasts are great, the waffle with date compote and marscapone cheese - wow!!!
Overall the place is well kept and the little pool is a relaxing way to spend an afternoon.

We took a night to just get away from home and relax. This is a great place. John the owner was a joy to talk to. The place is old and qaint. The breakfast was delicious and healthy. This place was exactly what we were looking for. We are hoping to return this summer.

We stayed at the Inn for five wonderful nights! John and Ruth are the wonderful hosts of this beautiful historical property, and it was like going to visit dear friends (who happen to keep a fabulous house!). The breakfasts...became my favorite part of the day. John cooks wonderful breakfasts, beautifully presented, that take in to account the food needs of the guests. Our room was large, very comfortable, nicely decorated, and quiet. The Inn is within walking distance of the beautiful little town of Oconomowoc. We will definitely be staying here in the future when we need to be in Oconomowoc.

Nice afternoon in the lawn chairs drinking wine, reading my novel, and looking down to the lake. This castle like mansion is everything we could imagine to have a dream weekend staying in a luxurious bed and breakfast from the gorgeous bedrooms and modern ensuite baths to a gourmet beautifully presented breakfast. Dinner close by in the town as much appreciated so most of our time could be spent at the inn. Linens on the bed and in the bath were fabulous and our ground floor room also included a small parlor fitted with a game table and TV, comfortable couch, and reading corner. There is a pool, but closed for the season although the sun room was fabulous. A truly great evening was had by all guests as many of us gathered for a late night coffee
