This was our first time staying at Bay Shore Inn but it definitely will not be our last. From the very pleasant staff to the amazing facilities we were amazed from the beginning until the end of our stay. The only regret was having to leave and head back home. We all wished we had booked for longer than our three night stay. For the price of a hotel room we stayed in a 1400+ sq. ft. two bedroom condominium. One bedroom was a master suite with a large bathroom (containing a whirlpool) and large walk-in closet. Both bedrooms were very spacious and had a king sized bed. We stayed in the Bay Side North condos which also had an indoor pool, hot tub and game room in the lower level. The main lodge has a beautiful sun room for morning coffee and elegant den with fireplace and assortment of board games. Across the road is a private tennis court and basketball court. We played pickleball (equipment provided) on the tennis court. The outdoor pool and boating equipment were shut down for the season during our September stay. The entire grounds are right on the shoreline with a private beach and pier. Be sure to stick around the property in the evening for breathtaking sunsets over the water.

Room Tip: Water view rooms have a minimal view of the water from the deck, while waterfront rooms have a deck that completely faces the water.

Twenty years ago when my husband and I first visited Door County and stayed at Bay Shore Inn, we found it to be a perfect place for a summertime family reunion with our young children and their aunts, uncles and cousins. We enjoyed the lovely vintage inn and restaurant, newly built suite-style accommodations, the beach and dock, indoor and outdoor pools, campfire, playground, tennis court and lots of room to run around on the spacious grounds. Memories include watching gorgeous sunsets and the Perseid meteor shower from the lawn and beach. Fast forward to September 2016 when my husband and I returned by ourselves and found that the grounds and accommodations are still beautiful and lovingly cared for by the friendly staff who went out of their way to please us. The inn is as charming as ever, with its stone fireplace and cozy seating area, albeit now without a restaurant. But there are plenty of good restaurants and other amenities only minutes away in the city of Sturgeon Bay and beyond. And it's the perfect home base from which to explore the rest of Door County and all the things we missed on our first visit. We recommend the Door County Maritime Museum and tugboat tour, Cana Island lighthouse, and the buildings, grounds, and gift shop at The Clearing.

Room Tip: See online reservation form for suite floor plans.

Just finished our second year in a row, booked for next year upon checkout. I love the layout with a separate living room, full kitchen. Great view of the bay, nice breeze into the room. Very friendly staff with great suggestions.

My wife and I were back for our fifth year in a row now. Our annual Labor Day vacation back to Wisconsin would not be complete without our weeks stay at Bay Shore Inn. Our Grandsons get a chance to swim over the weekend, which they just love and of course Grandpa and Grandma take a dip with them. What a great place to enjoy with our children and the sunsets are never disappointing. We could not think of a better place to be when we return to the Badger State! Ps....An extra Bonus was having the Badgers beat LSU that Saturday!!!! Already have reservations for 2017!!

Room Tip: All rooms are great. Facing the ship canal is an extra treat!

We love the Bayshore Inn! Our extended family has a reunion there every year so we have enjoyed the pace for many years. It is beautiful, quiet, and clean. People who want to enjoy the view can relax and do that or play games, kayak or swim in one of two pools, while others go off to do the many things that Door county offers.

Room Tip: The end units that face the bay are my favorite.
