A good place to stop for the person who enjoys shooting guns. They have all types of guns from pistols, rifles, and shotguns from the old west, civil war to today’s guns that you can shoot. They even have a Gatling gun that you can shoot.
The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful and nice in explaining all the guns they had .
There also was pictures on wall with dates & details of when and how the older guns were made.
Also an arcade to shoot in and a taxadermy museum in the back of the animals that I’ve in Yellowstone National Park. For my husband who had fun I give it a thumbs up and I enjoyed reading about the guns and the small museum

The Cody Firearms Museum in the Buffalo Bill Center of the West in Cody, Wyoming, is undergoing a renovation that will be completed in the summer of 2019. But visitors needn't worry. The most comprehensive collection of American firearms in the world will continue to be displayed throughout the other four museums in the complex and in a temporary exhibit featuring hundreds of guns, the best in the collection. It includes firearms ranging from a 16th century hand cannon to guns of modern manufacture. It holds weapons from almost every significant gun manufacturer in the world. Dedicated in 1991, the museum is the permanent home for the Winchester collection, the heart of the museum's treasures, as well as the largest collection of DuBiel Arms Company rifles in the United States. Visitors are able to trace the evolution of modern firearms technology from its earliest days through today's variations. Learn about firearms manufacturing, including factory workers, business competition and innovations in production. Today, the museum has over 7,000 firearms with more than 30,000 firearms-related artifacts. Whether you are interested in sporting, military, embellished or even Hollywood guns, there is something for all visitors to enjoy. See a recreation of Winchester's famed Model 1873 lever-action rifle, the one Jimmy Stewart won in the film Winchester 73.

After driving all the way from the seattle area, I was disappointed that the firearms portion of the museum was all but closed due to renovation. Didn't see this on the web sight before I left on my first vacation in years. The rest of the museum was great.

well lit and documented firearms, A must see for firearm enthusiasts.
Most firearms where donated by various citizens which resulted in a
enjoyable experience for history / old west enthusiasts.
Especially if you grew up watching westerns.

Almost didn't make it out of here. Excellent exhibits. The interpretive information and the docents were great. I liked the Glock exhibit.
