Fine-dining options are at a premium in Cody, but The Local is big-city good both in its ambience and kitchen creativity. It's a lively place that doubles by day as one of the town's many espresso bars and baked-goods stores, but for dinner offers up a limited but excellent menu from ingredients largely supplied by local growers. We split a tasty roasted red beet salad for an appetizer, and followed that up with a flavorful white fish curry, finished off with a palatte-cleansing and scrumptious sea salt caramel ice cream. An excellent wine list makes for great pairings with most dishes. Service was friendly and prompt. We could easily have eaten here twice over a longer stay.
