“Adventurous and very memorable experience!”

We wanted to stay in a location that would be very different from the typical hotel one finds in Hilo, HI. This cabin clearly met our expectations!

Beautiful peacocks were walking across the yard as was a family of Mallard ducks, chickens/roosters and several horses. They all seemed to get along well. In addition, on the road to the cabin we saw several wild pigs.

The location of the cabin was not for the faint of heart. Get yourself a four-wheel drive vehicle and have a blast going through 2 rocky creek streams, steep uphill climbs, with narrow passages to heighten the adventure. Make sure you drive to the cabin on the first day in the daylight hours to better appreciate the journey since it gets very dark and the back roads are easy get confused

The cabin is tastefully appointed with some beautiful furniture pieces. From the upstairs window there are excellent views of the surrounding area. There are waterfalls and horses there, hence the name. We would do it again, especially in the heat of the summer when the waterfalls/pools are a bit warmer.

Liked best: Beautiful appointed cabin, animals running around, roosters crowing in the morning to wake us up.
Liked least: Not as centrally located as we would like, but it offered much comfort.

“Beautiful "off the grid" home with great personal waterfall access”

The pictures don't do the place justice, it is amazing on the inside. All the horses, peacocks, ducks, and chickens just added to the magic of this place. The driveway is a bit tricky to maneuver but it is well worth the effort. We stayed here for a week to celebrate our 25th anniversary and wanted to get away from all the touristy places and crowds. This place was perfect for what we needed. Keith was great to work with and we will definitely recommend this place to others looking for the same experience.

My family stayed here celebrating our daughter's birthday. It was a great change from the usual getaways in this area. Keith was an excellent host. The place is as advertised. Very nice. My girls had a fantastic time, as did I. Horses, peacocks, waterfalls and a very cool cabin. The place has character and charm. I hope my other daughter will want to go back for her birthday!
