We were traveling through a lovely small town up in the ranch country of the Big Island and were hungry for a steak dinner after eating seafood the first ten days of our vacation. A local person suggested The Broiler and we were not dissapointed. In fact the steak was great and perfectly cooked as one might expect but what surprised us was the quality of the seafood. Try the Ahi Tuna Tower as an appetizer which was so creatively presented and delicious you might just order two. Next we tried the surf, turf and bird special which was a huge amount of food and the fried calamari which was excellent. The burgers are also made to order so you can design your own and my friend who was traveling with us said it was awesome. One cool hint is we were lucky to go on Tuesday night where young kids eat free so if you are traveling with the young ones this will be a very cost effective option on a Tuesday night.
