“Good bend of economy and cleanliness”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 November 2011

The Inn is in a quite enclave off the main roads. Rooms are pleasantly furnished and very clean. The price is very attractive. A great value for money!

Room Tip: Get a room in the new wing.

We stayed here three nights. Our room was generally clean and the bed was comfortable. If you are staying for more than one day, ask for fresh towels every day since towels don't dry because of humidity. Wifi worked well. Couple of miles from all the restaurants. Friendly front desk employee. Breakfast is nothing special. Eat somewhere else, like at the nearby Starbucks (or Weimea cafe).

A fairly mediocre motel room. Clean, not too small, but when was the last time you stayed in a motel room with a fifteen inch TV and paint peeling from outside the shower stall because the shower curtain was too small? Could be a nice property, but needs some serious investment. Nice little sitting areas, but still a motel. I would expect to pay about $20 less, but the parking lot was full, so go figure. Not a lot of alternatives here for short visits.

We stayed here after our trip to Mauna Kea summit. The inn was really full as there was some kind of event in the area. The room was ok, about what we expected for the price we paid. We were on the ground floor and had a light shining directly into the room that we couldn't block out with the curtains.
In the middle of the night, a maintenance worker burst through the front door of our room and woke us up, scared the heck out of us and then told us "sorry, wrong room". I am a light sleeper and couldn't get back to sleep after that!
The breakfast was ok, again about what we expected for the price. The staff were reasonably friendly but didn't go out of their way to make us feel welcome. If we returned to Waimea we would probably try a different inn or B&B.

Located on Kawaihae Road in Waimea, on the Big Island of Hawaii, this charming bed-and-breakfast is clean, comfortable, and affordable!!! The rooms range from $59/nite plus tax to $185 for 2-bdrm suites/nite + tax. Freshly baked scones, muffins, and breads in the coffee lanai every morning; and the staff is so friendly and helpful. Mauna Kea observatories are a short drive away, horseback-riding and kayak adventures, and of course the famous continuously erupting Kilauea Iki volcano.

Room Tip: Book ahead of time. The 32 rooms fill up quickly.

if you don't want to spend a fortune and you just need a bed for the night this is a good option. The place needs to be refurbished, but again for the price paid I had clean bed. a sign says continental breakfast, but the only thing you can have is a cup of coffee or tea. but it's ok. the place is near everything and you can reach the best restaurant of the town in walking distance. good value for the price - if you are on budget this is your hotel.
