Had two visits to the Lava Lava - one for a drink at the bar after golf and the other with the family for an early dinner as the sun went down.
Arrive before 5pm and you have a good chance of snagging a table without a lengthy wait. Any later and you will miss the happy hour and a seat for the sunset which is great but a little ruined by the crowds of people trying to capture the moment on their phones.
The bar / restaurant is on the beach literally, had live music both times I went and attracts a very mixed crowd. Staff were Awesome in what is a very busy place.
Food was tasty and well cooked. Standout was the half a smoked roast chicken and vegetables.
You can call ahead to get put on the wait list if arriving post 5pm and there are little bungalows you can stay in which looked cute and were also the Iggy on the water.
