Our family stayed at the Waikoloa Beach Resort and loved every minute of it. Our suite was lovely - very clean, very spacious, nicely decorated, amazing kitchen, gorgeous lanai with built in BBQ and sink and views of the golf course.

Beds were comfortable, two bathrooms were ideal for our family. The location was perfect with both the Queens Marketplace and Kings Shops being a short stroll away.

The property’s pool was very nicely maintained - small but lovely and during our stay we were often the only people in the water. Very nice to have our own garage.

We highly recommend!

There are several properties on Waikoloa Beach Resort. We stayed at Kings Land and loved it! Had a view of the golf course, the unit was very nice and clean! There is also a shuttle that runs all day every 15 minutes or so around the entire property.

We were located across from Queens Marketplace. The condo was a two bedroom with a golf course view and had everything you would need.

We stayed in an apartment at the Shores for almost two weeks. This is a great resort with just about everything you need. The hotels are open and you can make use of all the amenities, pools, lagoon, restaurants, bars and the beach. Two golf courses to enjoy some exercise. There are also two great shopping malls on the complex King’s and Queen’s which cater for most things, again restaurants, food court, stores, gift shops, jewelry and supermarkets as well as up market boutiques. Add to this some of the best petroglyphs on the island right on the resort. Also do not miss the nearby Lava Lava Beach Club, for great cocktails, food and live music and nearby swimming and snorkeling. A great place to watch the sunset.

Excellent base from which to explore the rest of the island.

This was my first experience of Hawaii and it was not pleasant... there were many things wrong from the cleanliness of the rooms, to the overpriced and sometimes un-eatable food! But the worst by far was the sad captive and exploited dolphins who spend there sad lives in shallowed cramped pools being touched by tourists! I cried everyday! No hotel needs this!!! Had I known I would not of booked!!!

We went to the Waikoloa Beach Resort twice during our vacation on The Big Island. The resort is very modern, large, well designed and beautifully landscaped. We stopped at Kings’ Shops and Queens’ MarketPlace and spent hours at the beach (Anaehoomalu). There are historic sites to see as part of the King’s Trail (petroglyphs, fish ponds, ruins of ancient homes). There are luxury hotels, beautiful condos and vacation homes as well as golf courses. There is a lot to see at this resort. Location is on Kohala Coast approximately 17 miles north of Kona airport.

This is a beautiful resort, absolutely huge, very well tended, and contains everything you need. It’s gorgeous from one end to the other, filled with activities, dining and shopping options and tons of room to get as much (or as little) exercise as you want.

The resort itself is about 20 - 25 minutes north of the airport in Kailua-Kona, and its only a little further to the Costco and everything else in Kona.

This has been the perfect home base for all our travel around the island. The prices for groceries (etc) on the resort are quite reasonable which was a pleasant surprise.

Highly recommend this resort, certainly as a condo renter. The perfect vacation spot, short and long term.

If you need a location that is close to everything but far a enough from everything this is the place. The grounds are beautifully manicured and out door facility’s are well maintained and CLEAN. We came during PEAK SEASON and feel as we have the place to ourselves if needed. So close to all the hotel restaurants and shopping at King and Queens Shopping center.
Don’t hesitate to book your family get away in this slice of PARADISE!!! Don’t skip Lava Lava for a evening cocktail :-)
