Hiking to Uluwehi Falls (Secret Falls) was a fun, informative and beautiful adventure for our family. Eric (not his Hawaiian name of course) our guide, was amazing! He was friendly, funny and took the time to make sure each of the 15 people in our group felt part of the ohana (family). Being a native Hawaiian, Eric was able to tell us about the history & culture of the area as well as point out the various flora and fauna along the trail. He quietly played his ukelele as we walked making this adventure even more memorable and special. The two-mile kayak trip is very easy and enjoyable. The hike itself was a little tricky because of the wet and muddy conditions. My understanding is that the trail is almost always muddy and slippery so make sure you wear appropriate foot ware as suggested. Flip flops or loose sandals will NOT work! The waterfall was cold but beautiful! I highly recommend Ali'i Kayaks. Everything they say in their brochure is accurate. Our adventure went above and beyond our expectations.
