We had the most wonderful time! Our helicopter pilot, Beth, was the best and our tour guide, Domi, was awesome.

Domi was full of knowledge and personality. He really made the tour enjoyable and taught us quite a few things. I would highly recommend this tour. We were on the NCL Pride of America and they definitely saved the best port for last. Kauai was absolutely breathtaking! A helicopter tour is the way to see this beautiful island.

Mahalo Domi and Beth!!

I booked the 'Heaven and Earth Quest' as a cruise ship excursion. Sadly due to rain and low cloud the helicopter (Heaven) part of the excursion couldn't take place, which was hugely disappointing as it was the one trip I was most looking forward to in the whole cruise.

Our guide, Domi Ragsac, a native Hawaiian born on Kauai, promised he would make the day just as good as we had hoped, and explained that the extra time would allow him more opportunity to show us the best of Kauai from the ground - and he did us proud!

Domi is a natural star...he both entertained us and educated us with all sorts of local history and facts during our driving tour around the coast roads and beaches of Kauai. In addition to the scheduled stops he took us to his house and showed us his pet boar, Omar, allowing each of us to stroke it for good luck. He plucked a guava fruit for me straight from the tree in his garden...it was delicious.

During the tour we visited beaches, saw King Kong mountain, admired waterfalls, called for whales, spotted two alligators in the rocks, visited a birdlife sanctuary at the Kileaua Lighthouse, ate lunch by the sea and he taught us the Hooky Lau...he also sang to us the Hawaiian Wedding Song, in Hawaiian and English, whilst playing the ukulele.

He kept us amused on the drive by telling us facts and then testing us on it...and as I write this review five months after the trip I can still tell you the 4 countries that had tried to invade Hawaii, the 7 nations that settled on the island, the range of the Kileaua Lighthouse light (old and new lights) and where the lighthouse glass came from. One particular highlight for me was the birds at Kilaeua Point, and Domi knew so much about them too...we even picked up a couple of extra tourists for a while who was listening to Domi share his information with us and asked to tag along as they found his local knowledge and teaching style totally captivating...he just accepted a small tip from them.

Domi seemed to know every good beach and every fine restaurant on the island and gave us recommendations if we were to return. He told us he had appeared in a film (Honeymoon in Vegas) shot on the island, and has also driven many movie stars when they were filming there...Domi certainly made an impression, and made the day far better than I had ever expected.

Regardless of which tour you do with Domi I am sure you will have a wonderful time.

The sites were breath taking, and our lunch delicious. But we were rushed through each location, spending only about 10 - 15 minutes per site. Would I do it again? no. I would find a way to have it split over 2 days to enjoy the Hawaiian spirit better.

Great tour of Kauai by land, boat and air. Our tour was led by Steve Yoder who wa knowledgeable and funny. He went the extra mile to show us out of the way places and some hidden secrets of Kauai that many tourist never experience. Steve made special effort to generate questions by his passengers and really made our tour worth every penny. The airplane ride over the island piloted by Eric as a perfect flight. Give Best of Kauai a try, you won't regret it! And ask for Steve as your guide.

We couldn't have asked for a better tour guide (DoMi). We learned some rich history of Kauai from storytelling, feeding the hog, eating at the best restaurant in town (Home Cooking) and last but not least the Luau. TuTu man we will never forget you. Much love, Maryland, Queen, Lutisha and AJ
