Description: On the sand at Kalapaki Beach, Duke’s is dedicated to legendary surfer Duke Kahanamoku, Hawaii’s Ambassador of Aloha. The restaurant’s open-air design offers stunning, sweeping ocean views while the 30 foot waterfall plunges into a koi pond below that meanders through the tables. Enjoy a leisurely lunch, romantic dinner, or tropical cocktail in a fun, friendly atmosphere.

Ate here in ‘12 and loved the place. Great crab cakes, huge salad bar fresh caught Ono was perfect and Hula Pie is a must. Legendary place with awesome ambiance

We stopped by on a rainy afternoon and stayed longer than we planned. The bartender was funny and friendly and we could watch surfers and paddle boarders from the bar.

Big, busy, touristy, and fun.

We stopped here for dinner on our way to the airport for our flight back to the mainland.

Eating local fish and drinking one last mai tai was the perfect way, for our group, to say goodbye to the island of Kauai.

Service was friendly and efficient, the outdoor terrace, upstairs, had nice views and fresh air, and the backstory of Duke Kahanamoku gave the place a Hawaiian feel.

We came here around 6 pm and had to wait only 20 mins for a table of 6. The service was great as our waitress was attentive and was giving our children special attention by bringing their food first. Our table had all different items (burger, pulled pork, ribs and crusted chicken). Everyone enjoyed their food.

Our dinner was awful. The salad bar was lacking: tastless Caesar salad, no rolls. Our supermarket has a better salad bar. My husband's gnocci was paste wit h a disgusting sauce. My dinner of grilled chicken, steak and and 4 pieces of vegetable was lacking any finesse a restaurant should generate. We couldn't wait to leave. Such a disappointment when Kauai has so much better to offer.
