Recommended length of visit: <1 hour
Owner description: Reservations are required. $30 per person tax-deductible donation (for adults and kids). Home to goats, turkeys, rabbits, donkeys, cats, geese, pigs, tortoises, guinea pigs, ducks, deer, chickens, a cow and a dog, Leilani Farm Sanctuary is located on a lush 8-acre farm in Haiku, Maui. It is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization created to provide shelter and care for rescued animals, and humane education to the community. On the outer, most visible level, Leilani Farm Sanctuary lives and breathes upon a unique piece of rolling land, eight volcanic acres on a green Pacific island. But its superb location and jaw-dropping natural beauty are but reflections of its lush inner essence. The sanctuary is truly a paradise for animals and humans alike.

What an enjoyable time we’ve had visiting, touching, even hugging the many cute and tame animals. One could feel the aura around these rescued ‘creatures without voices’. This was a refreshing alternative to a beach loaded Hawaii. Mahalo Laurelee for an unforgettable experience. - The Brunner’s from Colorado.

My family and I went on a farm tour at the sanctuary this weekend. We had an amazing time, despite the rain. It was beautiful to be able to connect with the animals - even our carnivore friends really enjoyed it. You can tell how much love Laurelee has for her companions and how much passion she has for creating a world where all animals can life free from harm. I simply wish we could have spent more time there!
After the tour I purchased Laurelee's new book and read it in a day. It was so interesting, I just wish I had read it before the tour so I knew more about the individual stories of the animals.

Leilani is a place of magic and love. The farm is set on 8 stunning acres in one of the most beautiful spots on Maui. They have tours a few times a week and we can’t recommend going enough. Each time we visit Maui we make sure to get to Leilani at least once - if not a couple times! It’s that awesome. From kids to adults, everyone will have a blast interacting with and learning about the animals. Laurelee and her staff are so knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. They let you get up close and personal with all the animals. You can hug Matthew (turkey), brush Charlotte (pig), take a selfie with Veronica (deer) and the Lise goes on. With over 300 animals there is something for everyone. The tours last just under an hour. Leilani is also a non profit. So any extra donations go right to all the amazing animals. If you’re on the fence about visiting, do it! Maui has so many fun adventures but this is our favorite!!!

If you are an animal lover this is the place for you! The owner has rescued all these animals and has given them a forever home. Many of the animals are friendly and want to come up and socialize however some take time to adjust to the humans, just approach them slowly.
