Do not stay here. Our unit was run down and wasn't updated for ages. AC was so loud in the bedroom that we did not sleep for two nights. Moved to the Murphy bed and slept in the living room. Dreadful.

Location in the desert was far from showing the beauty of that coast. Head north to south out of the city for better condos.

First time at this WM property and first time in a studio. Great layout, good ammenities and the AC in the units gives them even more appeal. Also the service was the usual top notch quality, including a quick phone call to inform me I had left my suitcase on the curb ...oops.

We stayed here in February (btw - best time to go, imo) and had 2, 2 room condos on the top floor near the back of the property. We were 7 adults all together (and one on the way, as I was 5 months pregnant). The first thing I noticed was the well-kept wicker furniture in the room and nicely appointed kitchen. We got the master (in-room bathroom) in our condo, which was nice for privacy, but quite small (vanity/sink outside bedroom, toilet and shower in separate room).

As others have said, this is not an oceanfront resort, however, it is walking distance from a great beach, many shops and places to eat. We found it easy to just walk a few blocks to an ABC market to get anything we needed. Our condo actually had a more than peek-a-boo view of the ocean from the balcony, which had a nice amount of space with a table and chairs off the living area. There was a good sized table in the dining area where the 7 of us ate many evenings. We made use of the community bbq's several nights as well. They were well maintained, and the tables and areas nearby were clean. The pool was a decent size, but wasn't heated the first day we were there (they said there was a heater malfunction, jacuzzi was fine). The pool was heated the rest of our stay (members of our group went on 3 other occasions). There were resort activities available, and we did take advantage of some of them. Some of us went and did basket weaving with palm fronds, made orchid leis, and also made kukui nut necklaces. The guy that led the activities was knowledgable and very helpful, and made our experience enjoyable.

We did get fresh towels at one point, and that was easy (called and got towels brought to the rooms), but didn't really need much help from the front desk during our stay. Once, we had to get more soap to do laundry and had to ask where to get it.

It was a bit noisy some nights, with kids running in the breezeway on the floor below us, but we were up most evenings with our doors open, walking between rooms (2-3 condos between), while having mai tais (mine sans alcohol), so we didn't mind much. We had a totally enjoyable time, and appreciated the nice, clean grounds and fairly spacious rooms. I believe we could've booked our activities through the office, but we are mostly diy, and I booked our ocean kayaking (I highly recommend Maui Eco Tours!) online and we booked various snorkeling trips at Snorkel Bob's and other local outlets. We also rented a biodiesel car (VW Beetle) from Bio-Beetle (also recommend), and they actually picked our car up from the Worldmark the night before we left (so we didn't have to return it before our early flight).

I would mention the elevators were slow, and it was often faster to take the stairs. I was starting to have a hard time with stairs at this point (2nd trimester), so I waited for the elevator a few times. We all took the elevator after our long days out exploring Maui. This Worldmark resort wasn't a grand place, but was more than adequate to make our stay memorable and comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Room Tip: You can see the ocean from the front buildings and from the higher floors of the rooms along Alanui...

To end our two weeks on Maui, our family stayed in Kihei at the Wyndham Worldmark. It is not oceanfront if that is what you are looking for but no further than a block is a great beach and there are many within walking distance. Two of us had a two bedroom on the first floor if Bldg 4 and the other 6 had a 3 bedroom in Bldg 7,which I will review separately. This room would easily accommodate 6 people with the trundle bed in the living room. Very clean but there was no view at all, not even a garden. The patio view is a fence and a big ditch and houses across that. The furniture is clean and comfy. The kitchen has the basics and they provide you with coffee for one morning and packages of a few seasonings you might need but nothing else. The last place we stayed at, previous tenants had left a few groceries in the closet like oil, flour, etc. The wonderful thing about these units are the washer and dryer. That is a must for beach going vacations and they start you off with two soap packets. The pool was very clean and the temperature was pleasantly warm. They have a wading pool for the little ones and a big hot tub. Most days, they have activities you can pay a nominal fee to participate (lei or card making, BBQ's). I would return here for a large group or family reunion. They also have a massage hut at the pool with pretty reasonable prices.

No remotes for A/C in rooms. Had to ask for the single resort wide remote to be brought by to alter the temp. Lifts toother floors not always working. Otherwise this was a great place to stay. Pool very nice, staff hepful.

Would recommend to anyone. Clean tidy and pleasant.

Room Tip: Not possible to choose your rooms.

My parents stay here every other year, and had the opportunity to enjoy spending the night with them at Worldmark Kihei and I was thrilled with the location, and beautiful, spacious condo, business center, and decor. We stayed in a first floor 2 bedroom/ 2 bath condo the first night, nice if you do not like stairs, or elevators, but preferred the 3 bedroom/ 3 bath 4th floor we moved to. Huge, and very artfully appointed. Nice, fully equipped kitchen, full size appliances, washer/ dryer, ocean view, and across the street from one of the most beautiful, serene, white-sand beaches on Maui. ABC store is steps away, everything is clean, convenient, and safe. Ample parking, nice place for families and you do not feel crowded. Comfortable beds, warm staff.

The business center is staffed, and easy for checking in for flights, printing out boarding passes, has a mini gift-shop, and extra loaners for your beach trip~ straw mats, beach towels, etc.

We enjoyed the pool area, barbeques, and hot tub. This is a great place for families who want to feel like they are in their own home in Paradise, steps away from a fabulous, unforgettable beach!

Room Tip: I like the ocean view, or partial ocean view. We were lucky as we had a 3 bedroom / 3 bath end unit...

Our condo had 2 bedroom 2 bath and a murphy bed that pulled down in the dinning area. It was so much better than a hid a bed couch. There where 6 adults on this trip and we were all comfortable. Love the location. Check in was easy and they gave us lots of comps.
