We had an ocean front suite with 3 bedrooms. It was amazing. It was large enough that even with a big group we all had plenty of space. The condo was furnished with every luxurious amenity you could think of even a Vitamix. (great for making fresh piña coladas). The owners of the particular suite took care to ensure we hsd everythinh we meed to feel at home, cooleate, knives, spuces, dishes, glassware for many types of drinks, rice cookers, beautiful serving dishes, coolers to take to the beach, beach chairs, beach towels, ipod docks, TV, DVD players, games, books, you name it. The lanai was huge and comfortably furnished. The beachfront was small and private and honestly when we go back I probably wouldn't go to any public beaches, it was perfect where we were. Oh and the whale watching was spectacular. Bring binoculars.

Staying in Kahana Village #19 for four nights in Feb, 2012. Wonderful oceanfront villa! Every detail was thought of - down to the rice cooker and salad spinner. Great location on Maui - convienient to everything. The way Kahana Village is situated makes it like a private beach. Good snorkeling. We will be back!

Loved the villas. Had a king size bed on the first floor for us and twin beds upstairs for the kids, so we were able to get some privacy.

Unit was decent sized and clean. Pool area was also decent size and clean. It was a lot cheaper than a hotel room and a lot bigger.

Only downside was that the beach area was not swimmable.

We actually travelled in June 2009, but never wrote the review until just now.

We have stayed here for two straight years, and I'm definitely coming back. It's wonderful here. The staff are some of the friendliest I've --ever-- dealt with, not just because they're in Maui. The condos are excellent, and you will find a wonderful view of the ocean, along with Molokai, Lanai, or BOTH. You can see whales breaching in the winter, and sea turtles playing in the close by surf in the morning if you're close to the ocean.

Oh . . . and did I mention the FREE MAI-TAI parties on Wednesday nights?? Because, um, there's that too. The nightly sunsets are spectacular, and the relaxed atmosphere is very befitting Maui.

The clientele is pretty consistent. You have a lot of retirees, and families with children. I didn't see a lot of Frat Boys, or 20somethings ready to drink all night. It seemed the typical resident was quite asleep by 9pm. ;-)

There is a pool very close to the beach here. It's about 4 feet deep in the center, and the children love it. The only negative I can think of is that the beach alongside the pool is of rather coarse sand. Kids do play in it every day (I've seen it on both trips), but if they want more traditional sand, you can just drive 3 miles to the north or south and get that if you prefer.

Anyway, this is a fantastic place to stay, particularly for families. Bring the grandparents and get built-in babysitting!

The staff was outstanding. They go out of their way to make everyone's stay as pleasant as possible. We stayed in unit #28 and the view could not possibly be better anywhere on the island! The unit is well maintained and was both comfortable and charming. Sitting on the Lanai watching the whales cavorting is simple awe inspiring. The kitchen has everything you need to make yourself at home and the shared barbeque area by the pool is a great place to cook up something yummy. The grounds are simply lovely and well maintained. I will stay at this property every time I have the opportunity to visit Maui!

My family stayed here in May 2011.
We will never go anywhere else again.
Vicky manages this place as if it were her home.
In fact, she does live on site!
The whole staff went out of their way to make us feel at home.
Housekeeping comes in once a week, or more if you need it.
Lovely ladies. Very friendly.
The weekly Mai Tai party was fun! We won a Tshirt!
But the best part? Laying in bed at night and listening to the waves sing you to sleep.
Oh wait..maybe it is having breakfast on your lanai each morning and watching the sea turtles bob their heads up and down...oh wait it might be the beautiful gardens that greet you each day as you walk from your car to your home away from home.
Kahana Village is very secluded. We saw two other families the whole ten days we were there.
We felt like we had the run of the place. No worry about waking up at six in the morning to run down to the pool and place a towel so we would have a chair to lay in the sun.
Laid back, peaceful, tastefully decorated two and three bedroom units.
No need for A/C, the cross breeze is just right.
Twenty steps from your lanai to the ocean.
It doesn't get any better than this! You owe it to yourself to stay at Kahana Village on your next visit to Maui.
Oh yeah!! The best part? Once you visit...your next visit you get a substantial discount!
Win Win!
We can't wait to return in January!

My wife and I rented unit #15 for several nights. The condo was clean, comfortable, and the kitchen was well-equipped. The grounds are nice and the ocean views were great, especially at sunset. No complaints, really. The only reason I might recommend somewhere else would be if it's really important to you to be within walking distance of certain things. There are a few restaurant and bars within walking distance from here, but not a lot of choices. Also, the beach in front of the condos seemed like it wasn't really great for swimming or snorkeling, so if you feel like you must have that right outside your front door, you'll probably want to keep looking.

Room Tip: Not all units have the same outstanding ocean view from the balcony.
