The campsites are horribly cramped. There is just enough space for a tent and a table. It is very dusty as well. The bathrooms and showers are clean and new but the camping itself is not worth it. Such a pity.

Aloha, thank you for your feedback. Since reading your review we are clearing more of the campground and making the sites bigger. We are also planting vegetation to help with privacy around the sites. We sure hope you will visit again in the future. Mahalo! Brittany - Camp Olowalu

Been there several times in the past.originally had a lot of homeless hanging around.cleaned them out but now decreased size of lots in half! barely fit two tents, right on top of neighbors ,way off of ocean tons of noisy chickens.still tons of Kiawae trees,They used to have carts to haul stuff from parking lot but they have been broken and not repaired.new bathrooms and showers are nice

We had a westy camper and the location for the vehicle campers is pretty trashy. Feels like you have just been thrown out the back somewhere.

Showers weren't hot which is the main reason we booked the site. After our shower we moved a couple of hundred meters down the road and slept on the waters edge. Much nicer and free.

This one of the few legit camping spots on the island. The only reason we stayed here was because we needed to shower....and although I did get a hot shower. My husband was not so lucky. From my experience, the outdoor showers and washrooms were amazing, but that's about all that is nice there. IF you are staying in anything besides a tent or a tentalow...so anything with wheels....you are banished to the parking lot. We paid $40 USD to stay in a parking lot. No where near the washrooms (=long DARK walk at 2am) or showers or near the camping area....and there were cockroaches after dark. I get it....I know they live there. But we stayed on some amazing beaches on the island for FREE.....where there were no cockroaches.

The camp site is LUXURIOUS!!! The showers are hot and clean, the restrooms are clean and lot at night and easily accessible from the camping or tentalows areas. There are also a few grills you can use on top of you own table at your private campsite, by the beach. You can see maintenance is done everyday and well done. People are nice. It's definitely worth paying a bit more ($20 US per person, per night). The camp is also pretty close to any day activity you want to do between Napili/Paia/Makena.
