The place is perfect, nice spot and good services. The appartement are in a good condition with brand new Bosh appliances LG television and good forniture . We spend 5 days in Kanua tower ( not the main one ). Downside the check in is avaialable only on main tower. They forgot to record my credit card at check in and they stalked me two day at the phone .

We rented a 1 bedroom condo from KBM Property Management and received a decent/discounted rate due to some construction that was going on during our stay.
We very much enjoyed our condo. It was spacious enough for two people and was modern and very clean. The unit did not have ocean views but did have mountain views and the terrace was nice for morning coffee and cocktails at sunset. The construction was a bit noisy during the day for a couple of days..but overall not bad.
The resort is large..probably larger that we normally like but it did have nice pools (that need some heating), fitness center and the grounds were lovely.
It is a very family friendly resort..so, beware if you are looking for quiet or more romantic..lots of kids and families here.
The location is easy access with a car to Kapalua or Lahaina. And, the resort is right on the beach boardwalk for walking to south on Kaanapali beach.

Room Tip: Not all rooms have ocean views..

Stayed for 6 nights at Honua Kai - in a two bedroom condo, two adults and 2 teenagers. Plenty of space for all, very nicely equipped and furnished.

The condo was very nice - both bedrooms had ensuite bathrooms, which were very nice. The kitchen was well equipped with high end appliances, and the living area was spacious. Of course the deck was very popular with a great view over the resort and ocean. It really is hard to beat getting up in the morning and having a cup of coffee on the deck watching the surfers ride the morning waves.

The grounds are very well looked after- with multiple pools, BBQ areas and Duke’s restaurant. The staff were all very friendly. This was a perfect place for our vacation and without any issues at all - Thanks!

As many people have noted - Times Supermarket across the road is a great place if you need basics and don’t want to eat out all of the time.

The Houna Kia Resort has beautiful grounds with several swimming pools and right on the beach. The only problem was in November the pool temperature was not warm enough to enjoy. The pools were not heated. Also, They have several “hot tubs” but only one was headed. The only heated hot tub was full of kids and some so small they had swimming diapers. This was very disappointing not to be able to enjoy a soak in a hot tub.
The 2 Bedroom suit was very nicely fernished, clean and very comfortable beds.
The full kitchen was great to make some easy breakfasts.
Free self parking was nice too.
It would have been perfect if all the hot tubs were heated and some of the pools were heated too!

This is a great place to stay in Maui. The rooms are luxurious. The many pools are lovely (the water slide is NOT just for kids), and there is great snorkeling just off the beach. Duke's restaurant is right on the grounds for casual meals. If you go, rent snorkel gear from the guy right across the road who also sells ukuleles...
