My daughter and I stayed in a garden view studio. The 'garden view' consisted of plants planted in front of the windows to block off the view of the car park directly outside our window. Unfortunately there was nothing else we could swap to. As a result our room lay in darkness during the day for privacy, and blinds needed to be closed to keep out the headlight beams at night. Considering I am a heavy sleeper I was still awoken by the beams of light. The room was small, queen bed set sideways, kept losing pillows onto the floor during the night.
the expedia rep helped organize all our activities - it worked Out as the most hassle free option as Lahaina had a lot of places offering to book trips, but they were aimed at American tourists only because most were trying sell them timeshares. They had no real incentive to offer us any reasonable deals as Non USA citizens.
However, the range of our activities were great-snorkeling, horse riding on the pineapple plantation, luau,Hana road trip- all were awesome experiences. The galleries were amazing too! We loved the people and Maui totally!
If we came back to Maui we would not stay in a OAN studio again. Probably pick one of the larger suites or another hotel altogether. We stayed in dec2010More
