We had a wonderful dining experience at the recently remodeled top floor of Leilani’s on the Beach. I would have given it 5 stars, but as the evening went along, the service really fell off.
The updated design is very open and modern with subtle, but traditional Hawaiian décor. The views of the ocean and both the Islands of Lanai and Molokai were unobstructed and spectacular, particularly at sunset.
I ordered filet mignon and have to say it’s one of the best I’ve have ever eaten. Great flavor and cooked to perfection. My husband’s beer arrived chilled and my cocktail was yummy. They offer a reasonable priced Chef’s tasting dinner. It looked tempting, but we ended up ordering off the regular menu.
I highly recommend making a reservation, especially if you want a seat along the railing.
