We had a wonderful 2 BR + loft unit. We had a nice view of the beach and all the things you would need. They replaced the coffee, each day and provided daily maid service in our unit. There was a grocery store across the street, so it was easy to stock the condo. The pool was nice and not overcrowded. The pool bar and restaurant had nice food and good poolside service. There wasn’t a beach to sit at during December, but that didn’t bother us as we had a car and there were a number of nearby beaches.

We got a one bedroom which was great traveling with a teen. The room had a full kitchen and was very clean. We had a garden view however could see the ocean from out lanai. This was unexpected and made our trip. There is even a "store" on site that has the small stuff you need salt pepper, eggs, milk, beer laundry soup etc. If you want major shopping it's across the street. There is a restaurant on site with ocean view that was ok. Staff was great. Only complaints doors are loud and do not shut with out a bang, bed was very uncomfortable and if you are wanting to sit in a beach, the visible beach is a small patch of 10 ft. I felt this was deceptive as there was not beach and ocean came right up to wall. We had to drive to other beaches that were close by.

Aloha SS, We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your garden-view accommodations and the views from the lanai along with our resort amenities. The beach fronting our resort, like all beaches in an island/shore-line environment, is subject to change by way of changing ocean swell and weather conditions. The reality is that we simply cannot control the events of nature. The beaches in other resort areas on the island have experienced similar effects, with sand having been washed away quite severely at times. While this natural phenomenon does occur from time to time, what is also true is that the sand does wash back in as well…and at different times every year.

As an aside, the ocean fronting our resort is typically beautiful and is known for some of the best snorkeling in north Ka'anapali, with tropical fish, turtles and even a sea horse from time to time. Also, while admittedly slightly less convenient, there is a wide expanse of white sand beach a 5-minute drive (2 miles) from us in the south Ka’anapali Resort area. We truly appreciate your honest feedback. Mahalo and warmest aloha.

I was surprised to discover it's not a hotel. I just stayed there for a week and everyone I met there had booked their rooms through various vacation rental sites. They are all privately owned condos, but some are managed by Aston. It does have daily maid service, and other benefits of being at a hotel, for a great price. I don't know if all the units are the same, but the one we stayed in was super dated (cottage cheese ceilings, textured walls), but it had everything we needed, including a washer dryer and full kitchen, and enough beds to fit my family of 5 in a one-bedroom unit, so very economical. The property is nice, with 2 pools, large grassy area, and shops with anything you might need, and it's right on the beach. It's not a great beach, because the water comes right up to the rocks most of the time, but you get to sleep to the sounds of the waves and look out at the ocean when you wake up for a great price relative to the other places around there! It's a good choice for families.

Room Tip: search for units through VRBO
